Super 48 Key-Bak Retractable Key Reel, 1 per Card, Black

I've had lots of returning key holders in my life. Usually a tiny little circle or dot that clips on. Usually total junk. Usually unable to hold the weight of more than 2 keys. THIS, however, is AMAZING. Very strong - very sturdy. Once you clip it onto your belt, it'll stay there. And you can put quite a bit of weight on it w/o it constantly trying to extend the string on it. I have about 10 keys on mine - and its LONG. I can have it attached solidly to my belt, pull the keys up to unlock the door and let go, and it goes right back into place. On top of that, if you DO happen to exceed the weight limit, you can clip it into the bottom and it locks into place. This is actually the 2nd one of these I've purchased - the first one lasted 3 years before I LOST it. It didn't even wear out. This one is just as good.It also gives you the option of adding a watch strap pin to secure the belt clip from coming open. Although its such a tight clip its pretty hard to get it off your belt w/o taking your belt off anyway. This is the last one of this type of product you'll ever need to buy.

A year and a half ago, I locked my keys in my car for the first (and hopefully last) time. After having to wait for security at the job I had at the time to come and unlock my car so I could get my work keys out which took an extra twenty minutes on an unpaid break, I decided I needed something to avoid ever forgetting my keys anywhere again.Since getting this product I have not forgotten my keys anywhere, especially the ignition of my car since it's attached to me. And there have been multiple occasions where I have gone to get out only to be stopped short thanks to the sturdy construction!I have seen no fraying of the line, nor have I felt any loosening in the spring. Even with the number of times that I have almost left my car with them in the ignition, the clip still has not bent.The spring is not as tight as it could be upon arrival, due to the large number of keys that I carried at the time (my personal set plus a set of work keys) I opened up the Key Bak and adjusted the tension as far as it would go which was perfect for about 20 keys and a carabiner.Because of my satisfaction with the one purchased for use with my keys, I decided to get one for the utility knife I now use for my current job as I am constantly using it (I work in a grocery store so it's being used very heavily). The spring again, as it is shipped is not quite taught enough, however the knife is heavier than is ideal for such an item. This time I will not increase spring tension as I'd rather avoid cutting the line.All in all the only con I can find with this line is the fact that it's fairly large as far as retractable key lines run. And that really is only an issue to me when I've got both of mine on at the same time, otherwise I've become accustomed to one.

Only had it a month or so, but it works fine. Doesn't automatically lock which is good for me. It has a strong pull and I like the extra length.

EDIT- this was recently broken by the key was in a commercial door when it was jerked open. was holding up well until then. that was when I discovered the one I was sent was ONLY 3' !! check the length of the cord. if mine was actually 4', I'd still have it. seller sent me the wrong length. I bought 2 new ones from another seller & measured them right away- 4' :)I use these @ work daily for over a year now. bought this for back up after I broke & repaired my old one.the string broke,was entirely my fault & easily fixed. I have used cable & chain versions of these & the Kevlar cord is by far the best & smoothest of all. quality product,great durability & longevity. the lock-in feature is great for securing if not used for a time, but I use mine so often I seldom bother with it. Great product to keep your key ring handy.UPDATE-- still holding up well,even w/some abuse & daily use.fantastic product if you need easy access to your key easily/frequently. will buy again.RE-UPDATE-- someone open a door while my key was in it & jerked it apart. while looking to repair it I measured it to find it to be less than 36" overall. so measure yours when you get it to be sure!!I will still buy another as this one was still in great shape after LOTS of daily work use.Great quality-just got a shorter unit from seller.

I used these when I was in property management. The thing holds 15-20 keys easily and the string/spring are built to last. If anything, you'll need a tougher belt!

I got this to use on my flight gear in garrison and in theater. Needless to say it was a great conversation piece for it's size and it's cord length. It's definitely durable and performed it's advertised function very well. Definite buy

This item does exactly what it's supposed to do: it extends your key ring from your belt, via a strong cord. What I like best about this product, is that it has a little ball on the end of the cord that locks into place, thereby keeping your keys from extending the cord due to weight. I have a large key ring that would normally pull the cord down as it hung from my belt. This locking mechanism prevents this. I am pleased with this purchase.

I'm not using this for keys. I have a couple of lightweight heat guns meant for embossing ink. I use them for heat shrink tubing. I use the Key Bak to hold the heat gun over my bench.After I opened it and tightened it one turn, it was just enough to hold the heat gun but not enough to retract, which is just perfect.The cable is silky smooth and strong. I really need the 4 foot line for my purposes.

It's plastic, but it's strong, wish it was metal, aluminum even...The one negative comment I would add is it would be much better if it was slimmer in profile, as it is a little bulky...

This is the best in the market right now!!! Maybe it's considered a little bit expensive but trust me is not!!!My key's is already too heavy but it's so strong that it doesn't extend at all.Plus it has to lock them if you want for maximum secure.Highly recommended!!!
