ASICS Women's GT 2000 2 Trail Running Shoe

I have been wearing thr CT 2000 series for years. That being said I found that the toe box was tight. I had ordered the Gel Kayano No. 20 running shoe at the same time to see which shoe fit me best. I fit the Gel KYANO 20 best. I have been wearing assics for 30 years. After back surgery the surgeon at the Texas Back Institute recommended that I wear Assics with both forefoot and rearfoot gel system. They have always been the best shoe for me. I teach school and stand on concrete floors all day. I have found that each year Assics seem to change. You get what you pay for. The 120.00 shoes are usuallly better than the $60.00 shoes. But when you factor in your health and long term back care spending a litttle more on the front end will pay off in the long run.

I was considering whether to buy the GT 2000 2 trail or the GT 2000 2 and I ended up buying both pairs for different running occasions. My review is that these are more softly cushioned while the GT 2000 2 are more firm. Furthermore, these are a bit more narrow than the GT 2000 2 (my feet are very narrow and I have to tie the GT 2000 2 a bit more than what they are meant for). Otherwise there is no big difference. Both shoes are really great, and I now use the GT 2000 for indoor use and to run on concrete, while I use the GT 2000 2 trail for running in the woods. A note on the size: I bought both shoes in a size larger than I normally use and they fit me perfectly.

I would give these 10 stars if I could. I have another pair on their way right now! I overpronate and just figured this out a month ago. So I researched it and came across these shoes. I have chronic lower back pain, knee pain and neck pain. I'm only 20 years old. Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Till now. I tried these shoes and the first day or so my feet hurt from them but I stuck it out. All areas of pain have improved by 75%!! I am in aw with these shoes! I suffered for years and now I have relief. I ordered a 9.5 cause I read comments saying they run small and that is true. I am usually a 9 so I ordered the half size up and they fit beautifully!

At age 51, I have worn motion control shoes for decades for running, working out and at work (I'm a nurse who pulls 12-13 hour shifts). I also wear firm, customized orthotics in my shoes for extra support. After reading that less firm shoes combined with good inserts can not only do the job but reduce joint pain, I tried these shoes. They really are so much more comfortable and springy, and they absolutely provide enough support for my pronation issues. My feet and knees love these, and they come in so many colors between the Trail shoes and the regular version that I now have two pairs, and plan on ordering a third. Absolutely LOVE their fit, too--I don't need to purchase the "wide" size to give my forefoot room in the toe box with my orthotics. Great shoes!!!!

I ordered half a size larger than needed, and they are great! Very very well cushioned at heel and ball of foot, a touch narrow at the heel but still a great fit. I walk an stand on cement slab floors all day at work, and these are a dream! Usually I walk toe to heel, but with these I walk heel to toe due to more comfort in stride. How great these are!

I've been wearing only Asics running shoes for the past 3 years. They're the only brand that fit my feet perfectly, with custom orthotics. This was the first pair that I had to "break in" before they felt completely comfortable. I'm thinking it may because they are lighter than my previous trail running shoes. I'm not crazy about the colors. I wish there were more colors to choose from.ALWAYS order 1/2 size up, like recommended.

Awesome shoe! I run on trails and the road with these and love them! Usually I wear the newer non trail version of this shoe (gt 2000 3) but I didn't like the colors in the new trail version so I got these. Anyhow, they are so comfy! Great support and perfect amount of cushioning. I actually bought 2 pairs so I would have another pair once these wore out!

The day these shoes arrived, I walked 13 miles. My feet and legs felt great. The shoes have good cushioning, and are very stable. I was pleased to see other reviews saying they were good for helping with over-pronation, and that seems to be the case. The shoes are wide enough for my feet at the front and overall seem great quality. The only thing that I might change is a little more arch support because I have high arches, but that is easily solved by an orthotic insert for extra arch support. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase and love these shoes.
