Bought this b/c another resident said it worked without their garbage can. Our city doesn’t help with maintenance anymore…so bought this and fits our garbage so our lids will stay attached to the base. Hubby was able to use hammer to get it in., Although smaller than the actual hole, it does it job. Next time will try to find one with a bigger head in case we need to ply it off for a new replacement, fyi… But it does its job!

Fix your broken trash bin
Works ok. Not the worst, kind of ok. Fixed the problem ok.

Although bigger than original pins, they still fit
Reading through some of the reviews, I was worried that being wider than the original bin pins, they would not fit. That was not the case for me. With gentle coaxing of a hammer, and I mean gentle, they fitted great.

Works well on large trash cans
Used to replace missing plug on municipal trash can. Works fine!

Too small
The product appeared to be what I needed, but it was much to small

Doesn’t fit
These don’t fit any of my garbage bins, large or small. I live in California, if that matters. My pins are about 4-5 inches long and these are like half shorter

It fit fir the big trash can
I bought this for fixing my recycle bin. Apparently it is too big. But it might works for big trash can
