What you expect of Hunter....
I was a little hesitant, given some of the comments. None of the mentioned issues at all. This fan is not a higher end model, but it is not cheap looking either. Perfect for kids room. Easy to assemble following included directions. Took 1 hour (fan rated box already in place). Most of the time was spent on annoying fan blade alignment and attachment. Only complaint is that the wires coming up through the top shroud were pretty short. The instructions said cut excess leaving minimum 8 inches. They were only maybe 4 inches to begin with. Not much room to make connections from box to fan while holding fan tilted open on its hanger. Perfect balance, no wobble, no noise. Well, on highest setting you can hear rushing air, but.... it's a fan. Running on Lutron Maestro digital fan/light dimmer switch. Included bulbs were too yellowish and dim. Swapped bulbs to max rating listed (13watt) with higher color temperature. All is good.

Assembly a little tricky, but the fan is worth it.
I love the way this fan looks and works. Assembly was not too bad - the hardest part is when trying to align three different parts to run the screws through (while the piece that the screws go into easily rotates. Check that the screws fit first before trying to put it together. Also, when installing the fan blades, it is easier to use a dowel to hold the fan in place when starting the first screw (three screws per blade). I used the smooth end of a drill bit - this holds the fan blade close enough to the correct position to start the first screw. Install the three screws a little loosely to get the fan blade aligned, then tighten them up. Also, install the chain pulls before mounting the fan. Use something to hold the stubby-end of the chain before removing the plastic end - they are a bugger to fish out if they fall inside the housing. I would rate the assembly as 4 stars, but I like the fan so much, and it looks so good, that I'm rating it 5 stars.

Nice Fan with Awkward Installation
The fan blades have to be installed upside down after the fan is already hanging from the ceiling. I found it difficult to align the screw holes for each blade in this position, and the installation of all the blades took quite a while, as I eventually had to rest frequently due to arm and neck fatigue. The next challenge was mounting the light kit base. This is made difficult because it is held on with three small screws that have to be inserted into a rectangular box that is stuffed full of wires, wire nuts and components. The job is made a little easier because two of the screws can be put in before the base, and they fit into slotted keyholes, so the base can be twisted into place while the third screw is inserted. This doesn't make it any easier to get the third screw into its barely visible hole behind all those wires. Keep in mind that all this is done upside down with the fan hanging from the ceiling.I installed two of these, and figured out a trick to save some arm fatigue. You can install three blades before you hang the fan body to the ceiling mounting bracket. Only three blades are possible, however, as the fan body has to be lifted onto two small hooks on the mounting bracket while tilting it almost parallel to the ceiling, to get it onto the hooks. Then it is left hanging at 45 degrees while you make the electric connections. As far as the fan itself, once installed, looks good and works as expected.

Very nice
The media could not be loaded. These fans were bought to put on our currently unfinished patio. I bought these so I would not have to deal with a remote, they have chain pulls. They are beautiful. The only complaint is that it was difficult to install them, because the area to tie them into the ceiling was sooo small it was tough for hubby to get his hands in there. He has installed a billion ceiling fans, but these were tough.

Good fan, hard to install
The fan is high quality and quiet. The two pull-chains are labeled as to which is for the light and which is for the fan, so no guessing which to pull. Brightness isn’t an issue—the 800 lm, 3000K LED bulbs are bright enough, and are easily replaceable if you want something different.Installation was more challenging than any other ceiling fan I’ve installed. Installing the blades means lining up holes that you can’t see, and inevitably dropping the screws a few times (a spare is provided). The blades are reversible (white/wood in my case), but once you get these installed you will never want to do it again. Connecting the two wiring harness connectors is difficult because the wires are so short that you can barely line up the connectors. A few other screws are hard to insert because a tangle of wires is in the way and visibility is limited. All said, a challenge to install but worth it once it’s done.

Impressive Quality for a Value Fan
This is a very good fan overall. I've installed several ceiling fans and I've been impressed with the quality of Hunter fans compared to the some of the other "value" brands that you normally find at big box stores. The mounting hardware, for instance, seems to be a heavier grade metal, has more hole configuration options, and makes better contact with the ceiling via four rubber pads. Other fans have made me nervous about how long they'll stay firm against the ceiling. The operation is essentially silent on the two lower settings and creates an acceptable whirr on the highest setting. All settings create a nice breeze. Some reviewers have complained about the "dim" light. I don't understand this criticism. The bulbs are a standard E26 size so they are easily replaceable if one needs something brighter. Besides, the included bulbs are CFLs and as such they take a minute to warm up like all other CFLs I've used. But once they do they are plenty bright. The only criticism I might agree with is that during installation some of the screws were challenging to get started. This is because the machine screws are not ground to a taper on the end and simply cut. However, this is pretty standard practice for value items and I wouldn't mark it down for that reason alone. You only have to install it once! For the blades, I highly recommend using an electric drill/driver to find the right angle to get the screws started by adjusting the angle while driving.
