Power Adapter for Select WD External Desktop Hard Drives (WD My Book)

This worked exactly as expected and it literally saved me from buying a new 4TB external hard drive. Mine had failed and I was not sure if it was due the power supply that came with it or due to the power port on the drive. Turns out it was the power supply itself and this replacement fit the bill perfectly at a very reasonable price.

Item output is 12V / 2.0A, not 1.5A as describe. I don't want to take the risk for damaging my expansive external drive. It's NON-refundable.

Did exactly was advertised. Sad thought that it is the OEM replacement, and it's replacing the OEM part. Maybe it was just a fluke as my other external WD power cord is fine (for now). For reference, both are plugged into a UPS and get clean power.

I didn't know if this would work with the external hard drive I have. I have had no problems and would buy again if I needed to. I've been using it for several weeks and am very happy with the quality.

These power adapters were ordered to fit the the Targus DisplayLink , but it does not fit, it is too big and the product can not be returned.

Don't buy! It's Cheap! Last about a year. Over heats and then stop working. When i shack it you can hear something inside moving.

Arrived in a timely fashion. I was skeptical about the low price but, thus far, it has worked perfectly with my 3tb WD external hd.

Output in description is 12V / 1.5A, but in reality it is 12V / 2A. Be careful when buying it!
