I'm an avid wet shaver who shaves about 50% of the time with a de razor and 50% with a feather artist club straight razor. I have many high quality soaps and creams. While I like them all, lately I've been looking for convenient products. I've been interested in brushless creams for a few years just to speed up my shaves. I recently tried this and was pleasantly surprised. It gives a very protective and close shave. The scent is pretty good too. I would actually deduct a star because it tends to clog the de razor pretty easily, but that's not an issue when I use my straight razor. The bottle is gigantic and you only need to use a little so I imagine it will last a very long time. I find it performs best after a hot shower and a couple small splashes of water to hydrate the gel after it is applied.

I took a chance with this Safety Razor clear shave gel, as I have been using another great product for years. it has become hard to get thru Amazon!Anyway, wash your face, rinse , and apply a small marble size dollop on palms and immediately shave and rinse off! The product is OUTSTANDING!!! It stays clear, and continues to be lubricating leaving a pleasant “note” of fragrance on your face. Not perfumy. Just very delicate! Wayyyyy better than regular foaming shaving creams, like Barbasol. With this one, I can actually see where I’m shaving. The gel has a nice, solid consistency—kind of like hair gel—but if you add a bit of water, you can adjust how slippery you want it to be. It’s also very, very slippery, which lets the blade of my razor glide easily without effort and gives me a nice, clean shave. Oh, and it ain’t just for your face; it can be used on any body part, so don’t worry about it just for your face—hell, I know I didn’t just use it for my face 😉😅. The price for the amount is good, and the sizing of the bottle is pretty decent. You don’t need to use a lot of the product to cover a big surface area; just a little bit of the gel covers almost an entire side of my cheek (of course, on my face… 😅). It smells good, but the scent isn’t overly fragrant—it’s very mild. So, if you were hesitant about the smell like I was, don’t be. I promise the scent isn’t strong at all. As someone with a sensitive nose, I actually didn’t mind it. But overall, ditch the foam shaving creams and get one of these!

This provides a really close shave. As I've gotten older i tend to buy bougie toiletry products and this is way better than high end shaving creams. I have used it for about 3 weeks now and this will now be my only shaving gel i purchase moving forward. I highly recommend. I also bought the after shave spray and i love the smell. Leaves my face feeling soft.

Smells good and clear which is nice for using a straight razor with.

This is a very thick gel. Which is its pro and conPro- makes it very easy to shave with the straight razor. Allows you to use a bit more pressure if needed without risking cutting yourself.Only con- to remove it take a little extra work since it’s such thick gel. No biggie really , but some people may complain. If you use a DE razor it may gunk it since it’s so thick.Smells great. Lots of gel for the money and it works as intended. Highly recommended.

I have been using Zirh brand shaved gel for years. They discontinued it sometime ago, so I’ve been paying probably way too much money to get it where I can find it, usually Ebay. I thought I would try this instead. I would say this is a very comparable replacement. It provided a close shave for my sensitive skin, was completely transparent, so easy to see where I was shaving, it left no razor burn, smells great and rinsed off of my razor easily. I’ve finally found my new shave gel!!!
