I love everything about this sewing machine. It does everything I need it for. Stitches are great quality. I enjoy everything about it on those late night bored and just wanted to sew run. If you bought this sewing machine and you’re having a problem with it and can’t figure out why it’s sewing weird, bunching up, getting stuck, etc… I guarantee it’s a you problem. Please, make sure you threaded the machine right. I had times it would do me so wrong and I would try everything down to removing the plate and finding nothing wrong just to figure out it’s not threaded right. They’re numbers 1-6 baby stepping you throughout threading it right and I tell you after years I still catch myself usually bypassing step 6 and end up with a mess. It only take missing one step. Don’t be me. I would never complain about this sewing machine but I have plenty complaints about me. Lol

Well let’s see, I’m writing a new review to better explain the machine. I’ve had it for maybe close to a year, it’s a good machine. I’ve made five dresses with it. It does sometimes gather at the back of the fabric (the thread) but that’s due to it needing to be rethreaded for whatever reason. Simply rethread the needle if that happens. Other than that I’ve not needed to change the needle, wear goggles in case the needle snaps, and it’s a good machine. Easily sews multiple layers of a lightweight cotton fabric or two layers of a heavy wool. Not sure about quilting unfortunately. I did try this for quilting but I’m a beginner and that was a major task and I quit when all my rows were different sizes. Tip, unplug and keep dust cover on it for a cleaner bobbin and thread.

When you use this great product overseas you need to purchase an electrical converter for the electric current rated for that country. I think every person should use this sewing machine because it has some many of the sewing options needed for those living and in fashion in other countries.Great product, I would buy more...

Es buena maquina, lu malo es que cuando pones el pedal para poner botones se traba, funciona haciendo todas las costuras marcadas y trai un cepillito pequeño para hacer la sacudida donde va el carrete, trae un ganchillo que ayuda para que pongas el hilo super fácil, trai todo lo que biene en los detalles, es muy buena maquina.

It’s too late for me to return this for a refund or even an exchange, and I haven’t use the machine that much. The needle position will not stay in the center, it stays to the left which makes it difficult when sewing. Now I’m stuck with this damn thing and I’m reading reviews of other people who had similar problems so if you’re searching don’t buy this machine. Because now I have to have someone fix it. Also, it is NOT, heavy duty. It will not go through two layers of denim. Not even will it sew cotton and denim together!

I paired this with a cheap table I found on amazon and it works flawlessly. This is the first time she’s taken sewing seriously and has already made so many things. She loves the Singer Platform and has been told by many they prefer them over the “other” brand. I just got this because it was on sale and had a nice package deal with accessories. It’s fantastic overall and isn’t too loud!

Es la mejor compra que he realizado en bastante tiempo. Util, práctica, de mantenimiento sencillo. A veces pensamos que las maquinas antiguas son mejores pero ésta desmiente aquello. He trabajado con maquinas industriales, con máquinas caseras antiguas y con caseras más modernas y ésta es la mejor por mucho, solo por debajo de las industriales. Además el kit que incluye vale muchísimo la pena.

It works well, has sufficient stitch options for the average user. This was purchased with the (extras kit option) so came with a few different feet, the button accessory a package of needles and a few other extras (in hind sight, while convenient that it came with that, the additional cost of the package deal was not worth the individual price of the accessories included if you have a local store that sells Singer accessories). One of the selling features for selecting this unit was the "automatic needle threader" which in application is neither automatic nor is it easy to use. A great idea that they haven't really perfected - it misaligns 3 times out of 4 so there is a lot of messing around to get it to work. Even after you have used it many dozens of times it seems like you can't quite figure out the trick to make it work "first time everytime". But overall a solid machine.
