The covers are beautiful, which is one reason I chose this set. (Other reasons were that it was less expensive than a Tomoe River set and the notebooks are true A5 size.) However, I hate that the covers are so thick and stiff - it seems like they are always getting in my way. Also, the lines are fairly wide-ruled and I prefer a thin rule. The off-white color of the paper is easy on the eyes, so I like that and, with some pressing, you can get this to lie flat while it is open. However, once you do that, the cover will never close again and you'll need to either clip it or put a band around it.

Love these! I ordered these for school and was super excited for them since they're beautiful and portable. When I got them though, there was a slight issue… so I just wrote an email to the company and the person who responded, Lilly, was so friendly and helpful! She responded right away and was very responsive. It wasn't long before I received a new shipment of my order (in perfect condition) with another cute notebook as an apology! Overall, I love the product. The notebooks are pretty, well made, and super portable, and the company's customer service is awesome! I'll be shopping from them again.

Was not expecting to like these notebooks this much! The quality of paper is fairly thick. My staedtler fineliner pens do not bleeding through which is great. They are a lined small sized notebook. Not very thick but good enough to use for bullet journaling which is my use for them. All in all I really love them. They are small so I will go through them quickly but I prefer that. Can't say anything bad about them and the covers are beautifully designed.

I was super excited when I got these. I love the water color cover, and I liked that the pages were slightly yellowed. I started writing in them, and I noticed that the pen transferred onto the other side of the page. I am using the regular bic pens, so I’m not sure if that’s the problem. However, I really want to use these up, so I will be trying out different pens until I get it right. The pen doesn’t bleed through the page thankfully! The notebooks are 80 pages and on the smaller side, which is exactly what I need. I’m hoping I can figure out the pen issue, because these are beautiful notebooks I’d like to put to great use!

These are so cute! They are beautiful, with nice, softly yellowed paper. I've been using them as notebooks for all of my classes, and they work wonderfully. They don't bleed through, or show through too much (and I have very heavy handwriting). They erase pretty nicely as long as you use one of those white art erasers, but not very well with a normal pink eraser (personally, I don't think those pink erasers really work on much of anything anyway).Now, if you did want to draw on the cover, I'm not really sure what you would use. I found that ink seems to smudge on the cover, although it does sort of remain, but if you were wanting to label your notebooks, you might want to do so inside. I think this might be because the cover has a bit of a texture, with a sort of waxy overcoat (might be slightly waterproof, but I'm not going to test it).I also got a really cute little cactus notebook that was a surprise gift, along with an adorable set of stickers. Very nice little set, and I will probably order another one for next semester.

I opened these up and was excited at first. I began to even jot notes in one, then I flipped ahead and found a whole section with crumpled pages. I went to smooth them out only to find they were mismanufactured and the pages were not cut correctly and the pages were crumpled to make it look like it wasn’t defective... so glad Amazon makes returns easy when you get a damaged/defective product but very disappointed in the construction of these.

These journal notebooks are of wonderful quality. They are small enough to comfortable carry around and the paper is thick, smooth, and a nice off-white cream color. I use them for class, they're great to study from and their cute colors actually motivate me to take color-coded notes and study from them! I also use them as bullet journals and idea journals! Whatever your purpose, these notebooks will be great.

Love them, I use them for bullet journalling and they work really well. Marker doesn't bleed though nor does gel pens but there is slight ghosting. If that bother you you might wanna opt for something with thicker paper but if not then these are fine.They're not large or small kinda in between which makes them great for travel. The color are great and the covers are nice and sturdy.
