Kalorik JK 42656 BK Digital w Lights LED Water Kettle, 1 EA, Black

This is the third time I’ve bought this same kettle. The first one I broke the top off the kettle. I repurchased it and have had it about two years. My daughter is moving to her own place and I bought one for her to take with her. My husband even loves it and he is hard to please. Heats water to boiling (or whatever temp you want) quicker than stovetop.

Love the colors and heats well, but shortly after using the lid broke and I have to refill using the spout. Worst part though is the smell and flavor occasionally. I have to check the water after each heat to make sure it does not smell like plastic chemicals. Very gross. Looking for a replacement because the return window is closed. Very disappointed because this was not cheap. Would not recommend.

I liked the light that indicated what color you had chosen. The kettle was pretty quick. However after about 7 months the lid became harder to open and after 11 months it just broke of completely, snapping at the hinge

I really enjoy having this Electric Kettle for making tea and for French press coffee. Having pets who sometimes like to counter-surf, I feel safer having my water heated by this rather than on my gas stove. the kettle heats water to a boil very quickly, and has various temperature settings. I found this easy to clean with descaling solution found at my nearby grocery store.**One caveat to my 4-star rating: After daily use for almost a month now, I have noticed within the past week that my kettle has been beeping multiple times after it has reached a boil. One beep is plenty for me to hear that it is finished, multiple beeps is alarming, especially in the morning. I looked through the user guide for any FAQs or notice as to why my kettle would beep multiple times, and there is nothing in the manual. I have also asked the amazon community for feedback, and no helpful replies from Kalorik, simply, "No, it has not been brought to our attention". I'm wondering if anyone can help further, so I do not have to return this kettle, because I really do truly love using it.
