We are owners of our fourth Shetland Sheepdog. This breed has very thick, long fur and needs regular grooming to keep the fur in top condition. The pin brush gets deep into the fur and has smooth tips so that the brush does not irritate the dog's skin. The comb helps in grooming the dog's very furry legs, tail and delicate areas such as the ears. We think these tools are absolutely necessary when a person owns a pet with dense, long fur! Excellent products!

I like this set for grooming my dogs. Seems like a quality and sturdy set. The comb is great for face and legs. The dual sided brush is exactly what I wanted. I know I specifically use boar hair brushes because of the benefits to my hair as recommended decades ago by my hairdresser. The pins help get to the skin, but don’t hurt the dogs, the boar hair helps distribute oils from the coat and helps their coats look healthy & shiny. In fact, my Yorker is prone to Polly coat in the face area, and I’ve noticed a difference in the few weeks of using this on him. I store my set in a pampering bin I have for my 3 dogs in my nightstand since brushing them is our bedtime routine. I bought another set to keep in my center consul of my couch for convenience for those lap time brushings.

Took longer than expected, but quality products.

This brush has more pins, which are rounded and not sharp. It brushes so much deeper into the pup's coat, and is gentle, not pulling, because force to get thru hair is distributed among MORE PINS. No more plastic balls coming off the ends leaving a sharp end that scratches. The pristles are gentle for little nose and ears. I love this brush, it's great. Glad I bought two.

I bought the brush to groom my four short to medium haired cats. It works well and the cats seem to enjoy being brushed with it. However, I find it works better on my medium haired cat and would probably be even more effective on long hair. When used on my short haired cats, at first the hair flies instead of collecting in the tines, until it builds up adequately, so there is a bit more of a cleanup than I expected. I have an identical tool which is smaller and has shorter tines, and it works perfectly for my short hair cats. Still, I give this tool a 5 star because it is very well made and I think it will last without bent or broken tines, and no rubber tips to come off exposing dangerous sharp metal. I would recommend it for medium or long-haired animals.

They do exactly what they're supposed to do! Use them for my Labradoodle, and I've had zero problems, except one little bristle came out of the brush when faced with a particularly tough knot after my pup went swimming and got all tangled. But that was more my fault than the brush's, lol. Highly recommend. The metal comb has a nice heft to it as well, you can really get in there to the base of the curls to get that excess dead hair out before it clumps and mats.

I own a cavalier king charles spaniel with long beautiful feathering. I have been looking for a good brush for years. This one is perfect. The one side pulls out any tangles, the other makes his fur ever so soft. I absolutely love it.

I have a Wooly Husky and he hates being groomed. If you know, you know! This brush is great for long hair and double coats. Some combs, rakes and brushes pull their fur. This brush doesn't. The bristles are wide and sturdy. None of the bristles or pin tops have fallen out yet. I've been steady using it for a couple months. The comb is great for the their paws and ear area. Definitely can't beat the price!
