If you do not have a vacuum sealed then this is the next best thing. I love these bags. You are able to reuse them but I usually throw them away after one use. Yes I am guilty. The quality of these bags are great and I use them for everything from seafood to steaks. They hold up perfectly in my Sous Vide and couldn't use it without these.

These are really good bags..already re-used many times.My reason for only 4 stars is because the closing edges should be bigger. It's too hard to grasp with your finger to re-open the bag. Other than that,they are excellent bags.

I brought this product after the Johnson & Johnson product was discontinued. Sous Vide pump has a smaller 'sweet spot' but it is adequate. It cleans much easier than the J&J pump. The Sous Vide bags are good quality but the seal is an absolute _itch to establish a seal. The seal once established is nice and strong. That little white closer thing is useless. The one or two of each size in a package is irksome. When using frozen storage I usually am bagging a bulk purchase into multiple individual servings and all the different sizes doesn't help. The tiny little bags are mostly useless. The bags are costlier than J&Js and I am dubious of Sous Vide's claim that the bags are washable. I haven't washed any bags because of germ contamination concerns.In short, Sous Vide works but is not as good as the discontinued J&J product.

I don't think they are going to be as durable over time as I would like. Basically the same material as a standard roll of vacuum bag material with a zip-lock. My assessment, is that they may last 4 or 5 uses and then start leaking instead of being a long term solution to reducing plastic waste.

Great reusable bags for sous vide and just storing food in freezer without freezer burn. I wish they would make them in assorted sizes. You will of course need the Sous Vide Essentials kit with the pump and extra bags. Very reasonably priced.

This will be excellent replacements for my new vacuum pump kit. These bags, I believe, are cleanable and reusable. I cleaned a used one out yesterday by turning it inside out and washing it with a cloth. Should last a long time.

i like these bags. i also bought the accompanying kit to vacuum out the air, which otherwise makes your food float on the surface.

We're steak lovers raised on cattle ranch, but living in California. We seldom eat steak because it's just not the same; however, the Sous Vide allows the beef flavor to come out. The steaks we have had are amazing. We're looking forward to trying fish and vegetables now..
