Dont know if its the screen or camera
Firstly, very simple to install. I connected it to the natika (I believe was the wording) camera and the quality is okay. The camera is a 720p so the 7 inch screen is struggling to get the pixels it needs. Its a little grainy but as long as I can see straight down my tailgate and bumper to know exactly how close I am to something, its fine. I also chucked the mount in the bin and used a ram mount for an iPad, looks and feels much better. I paid like 80 bucks total for everything so its decent for the price.

Dim display
I bought one of these to replace a much older monitor that finally died. This one is almost exactly like the original, except that the display is dim to the point where I have to turn the brightness all the way up just to make the display look like evening even though it's a bright summer day. With the brightness set to midrange the display is very dark. It isn't the cameras that are feeding it because with the old monitor I had to turn the brightness way down for those cameras. My unit might be defective, but I'm not sure how to confirm that.

Big and Clear
This was for my dad's truck, an 11 F150 with the famous camera that goes bad. This sits on the tiny shelf above his radio and factory NAV screen. Used it with the tailgate handle camera (also purchased here on Amazon). This gives him a very clear view when backing up to one of his trailers when he's by himself.I also wired it to remain on, so he could peek at the trailer (especially his boats) while driving if he wanted some extra assurance that all was well.I prefer this to wireless as it is just a simple set up and stays clear

Great value
This was exactly what I needed. My RV came from the factory with a rearview and sideview cameras, but the in-dash screen is tiny and far away from the driver making those cameras pretty much useless. I mounted this on the dash next to the steering wheel and now it works like a rearview mirror and helps with blind spots. Easy to hook up as well. Screen is clear. It is polarized, but in the right direction to be able to see it while wearing sunglasses. For the price, it is far better than I was expecting.

Very poor picture quality
I use this monitor as a display for older camera systems in school buses, when I'm testing and adjusting them.I need to view in 4:3 for my application, but when I first connect the system it opens in 4:3 and cuts the edges off the picture. I have to go through the menu each time and switch to 16:9 then back again before I can see the entire field of view. The brightness of the screen is always fluctuating, so it's completely useless for judging a camera's image quality. Sometimes it gets so washed out that I have trouble reading the DVR setup menu.I will be replacing this one with something else.

Poor Quality Picture
This is nice in that it accepts both PAL and NTSC signals, and that you can switch between 16:9 and 4:3 ratios. However the picture quality is quite poor, the viewing angle is poor I was sad to see, and the colors are not vibrant. It also shows spaces for speakers on the back, but it does not have any. Oh and if you touch anywhere near the bezels, the screen distorts. The only other downside is it needs 12V when I wish it could accept 5 or 9 Volts. If you need a simple screen for a security camera or similar then it will probably work fine for you, but if you are hoping this is a vibrant laptop style screen, then it is, from like 1995.
