Movie Theater Popcorn at home!
This stuff is magic! Pair it with the Flavacol for popcorn that tastes exactly like the popcorn you get at the theater. I used my air popper while it was heating up I melted about 1 or 2 tablespoons in the microwave poured it in a spray bottle and sprayed the popcorn as it was coming out the machine. I then sprinkled a little of the Flavacol while tossing the bowl. It's so tasty!

Best popcorn made at home just like the movie theater.
This is the stuff you use to make popcorn that tastes just like at the movies. You use Favorcol seasoning salt too.

Taste like the movies!
This popcorn oil is coconut oil based, which is what they use in movie theaters. It tastes great, and doesn't smoke like other oils or butter might if you use it in a popper. Combined with Flavocol, this will taste just like what you get at the theater. It lasts forever and stores at room temperature just fine. You get a good amount for the price, and it is a reasonable size. Some other types come in huge vats that are hard to store. Definitely recommend.

Good flavor
Use it with the Whirley Pop we received for Christmas. Along with Flavacol salt makes good popcorn. Not sure how safe it is, in relation to all the negative hype about artificial butter flavor. But, since we don't use a ton of it, hopefully the bad press about fake butter won't have to much of an effect The combination of the product with Flavacol make very good pop corn. Will probably buy again.

Best for the price
I enjoy that this item is inside a glass jar making it harder for the oil to leak through and easier to clean. The oil works well and provides a great taste to my popcorn. It also gives it that movie theater look. This is a great product that I recommend whole heartily. I also think it's worth the price as compared to other coconut flavored oils you get more. It will most likely arrive melted but that's to be expected as it ships hot but storing in the pantry will resolidify the oil.

Perfect Popcorn
This coconut oil will steer you in the direction of perfect popcorn. It's completely necessary if you plan on making a batch at home. I use this, popcorn salt, and kernals. Once you get a hang of the temperature, then it's the easiest process. This stuff adds a terrific color and flavor to the popcorn!

Works fine but container is stupidly bad. Update: turned green in a few months
EDIT: 12/14/2025. Changing from 3 stars to 1 because 0 isn’t an option. I only had this a few months and the expiration isn’t for another year and a half, but I got the oil out of the refrigerator and all around the edge, it was a nice shade of fluorescent green. I searched online to see if this was some sort of normal discoloration of the butter flavoring but everything I could find said it was rancid. I don’t know if storing in the fridge somehow contributed to this, but if the lid fit the container that wouldn’t be an issue. Maybe the lid not fitting and the container not being properly sealed upon receipt was the problem, but it’s an oil so I didn’t worry about it. 2/3 of it remaining went in the trash. Original review: It seems fine. I have not used a non butter flavored coconut oil so I can’t compare but I will say that other people’s idea of butter flavor must be quite different than mine. The butter flavor is very minimal. This is NOT intended to replace butter or butter flavored topping and by itself will not taste like movie theater popcorn. This is just the popping oil with a little butter flavor. The reason for the 3 stars is the abysmal container. The lid doesn’t fit and there was some leakage in the shipping box. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. Greasy hands plus greasy slippery container plus lid that doesn’t fit. I store it in the fridge so it’s solid, but it’s difficult to scoop out.

One of 3 ingredients to get perfect "Movie Theater" popcorn.
I have a West-Bend Stir Crazy popcorn popper. I use that to heat 3 tablespoons of this with 1 tablespoon of Flavacol and a half cup of Golden Harvest yellow popcorn to make fresh, hot popcorn that is as good if not better than any movie theater. I had used canola and peanut oil in the past, but when I started using this--Bingo! I keep it in the pantry, even after opened. No issues with spoilage. The ambient temperature will soften or liquefy the oil so just be ready for that, but for the most part, it stays "solid". It has the consistency of Crisco but not nearly as sticky. It melts quickly and heats up without getting smoky and lets a great flavor to the popcorn. I have not tried to use this in any popper other than a stirring kettle style. Your results may vary depending on how you use it.

I really like this popcorn oil It has a really nice butter taste. I find you have to use quite a bit though to get a good flavor, 3 table spoons. I do not like the smell but you do not notice it when it's on your popcorn. It is very expensive though so if you can afford it I would get it. I paid around $50 CAD. I do not have any experience with other brands yet. I use a whirly pop with flavacol and make a full bucket.
