I did a lot of research before buying from this vendor, and the quality is likely superior for the following reasons:Metal propeller. Other products have a plastic prop and include a backup one, which is a red flag to mePropeller protector. That seems like a nice add-onAdjustable handle. This upgrade works very well.4-stroke. Allowed on more lakes, less pollution, no mixing oil and gasOther reviews mentioned customer service, I had a question and they answered promptly and thoroughlyIt is also taller than some other engines in the same price rangeNothing has broken and it runs great so far!It's definitely a budget product, so I don't expect it to work as well as a $1000 Honda motor, but it gets the job done!Edit after a summer of (ab)use: The propeller protector broke off. The engine also randomly skips or sputters, so I'm guessing it just needs to get tuned up or something, which I won't do. I literally dumped this engine in the water a few times and it still runs fine. The throttle spring is now loose so sometimes the engine won't slow down completely.Overall it's very reliable and won't break down, which is very nice to have with a four-stroke in this price range.If you aren't as concerned about reliability, you could look for a similar price range for a used four-stroke that would require more maintenance, and probably give better performance.If you want something cheap and reliable with almost zero maintenance, this is your motor. It's so nice to have this new reliable motor that's cheap enough to not worry if I destroy it.

This is a great little engine for our dinghy. Starts right up and not heavy to lift (that was important for us) . Pushes the dinghy around just fine. I even got it running again after I dropped and submerged it in salt water (don't ask and not that I recommend doing that). Also, great customer service.

Bought in '23, tried it out a few times in a 55gl garbage can and it worked OK, stored it outside since then and just like that the thing burn up on its own on 9'24. Luckily I was at home and notice a burning smell and ran downstairs to the garden and douse the fire out. Flames burned aprox. $1000 worth of stuff that was close by. It was a foggy 58 deg. day when this happen

The media could not be loaded. You know what you're buying if you get one of these. It's a bit louder than a name brand but does the same thing. I'm sticking it on a canoe and have no intentions of trying to break a water speed record. Just gonna use it to explore mangroves and fight boat wake.Throttle is a bit finicky, sometimes sticks.On/off switch is easily flipped so you'll be scooting around and just lose power and have to turn on again.Overall it works and is fun.Video is the motor on 16' canoe first time out.

The media could not be loaded. This little motor is great, super tough. I’ve had it out in large bays/ estuaries. Rivers, bayous and ponds and she keeps going. Even got caught in a heavy rainfall and she kept going. The little coil pack that attaches to the spark plug is fragile tho, it broke but the seller was nice enough to send another one. I like this little engine, it’s been awesome!

EL motor comenzo bien y cumplio con las espectativas de ir lejos a una velocidad de casi 8km/h en mi kayak. 200ml de aceite añadidos como dice el manual, se dejo calentando como dice el manual bien, la tapa del filtro de aire se caia con la vibracion y se puso una brida para evitar se caiga en el mar, a los 20 minutos de ancendido variando la velocidad entre media y alta velocidad en medio del mar comenzo una Fuga de aceite el primer dia de uso. alguna idea? al llegar a tierra casi estaba sin aceite el motor. El 2ndo uso se daño el embrague y el acoplador. La garantia funciono bien y enviaron lo necesario. Todavia esperando que llegue todo.

I purchased this mother for a 10’ bass raider. The motor is plenty strong enough to pus the boat. Great mpg. Easy start and was easy to assemble. However I really had my doubts about the U handle design. Well the u handle sucks. After getting the boat in the water and getting it started, I began to navigate the Navasota River. I made it about ten feet when the motor turned on its own because of the swiveling design of the handle. The boat was running in circles while I tried to turn it off. I made a rubber shim and put in the housing so not to damage the shaft, and made it fixed instead of swivel. Now it works great.The basket for the prop is junk, it fell apart on the way to the river while trailering the boat. Yes the motor was tied down securely. Just a joke of a shield.Other that the two miner issues the lil motor is awesome and for the price it’s really awesome.

I bought this motor without any idea how good it was or how reliable the company was, but decided to try it and am glad I did. The most important thing I appreciated about this company (CUKUSIN) is their GREAT customer service! It did take a while for the motor to arrive, and after I put it together, I felt it could start a little easier and the throttle acceleration should engage sooner and be more responsive. I contacted the company and received an immediate reply to my issues which led to the service department sending me 2 videos on how to deal with my issues. By following the guidance and direction I received and making a few adjustments, the motor performed much better as I expected it should! I am quite pleased and expect it will run and perform as well when I try it on a boat in the water (it has been raining for 2 weeks straight here)! I do feel very confident if I have any problems in the future, customer service will definitely be there for help!
