It's BIG!
I wanted a cutting mat larger than ones typically available at the local fabric shop, and I got it! I was able to expand my cutting table to accommodate the size and so far it's great! While I've not had it that long, I can see how it will help me cut longer strips and pieces of fabric for my quilt piecing projects and do so with greater accuracy. Time will tell how well it holds up, but it seems substantial enough to heal itself with cuts over long-term use. It came rolled rather tightly & I was dubious about how long it would take to flatten out. So I left it in the box in a warm (very warm) car, rushed it in and quickly placed it on the table with a few books on each end. When I returned the next day it was completely flat.

Great value
This mat is wonderful. It came rolled up and I worried that it wouldn’t go flat, but it did easily. It’s a strong, solid mat too. The measurements are easy to see which really helps when I am trying to lay out large quantities of fabric. The measurements of the actual mat are accurate and fit my table beautifully.

Perfect solution as sewing table protection.
Although I cannot speak to its use as a cutting board, it is working perfect as a sewing solution in my sewing room. Purchased new machine which did not fit on my sewing cabinet due to its size. I am utilizing my grandmothers buffet extension dining table. Did not want to damage the solid wood leaves of the table with pins, scissors, etc. It covers the complete table top perfectly, my machine sits perfectly on it with no shifting or sliding. Plus, it is an easy clean. Sorry I can’t answer the cutting ability but the measuring aspect is a handy tool when sitting an sewing.

Excellent Cutting Mat
Love the price and size of this mat! I am a quilter and put lots of hours at the cutting mat. This mat has held up well. I would recommend it.

Great cutting mat, not self-healing
This is a well-designed cutting mat with a neutral enough utility to not be overly specialized. Markings are clear and accurate, and the material is translucent enough to see lines or patterns under the mat if that's what you're looking for. The material is both stiff and flexible; it arrives from shipping rolled but just roll it the opposite way to make it lay flat. Just note this is *not* self-healing; it has only one polyethylene layer about ⅛" thick vs several thin layers of varying densities found in most self-healing cutting mats. In my case this helped as I needed to cut the mat into thirds to affix to a folding table, and although I was able to do so with a sharp utility knife it was no easy task. I expect this will hold up quite well under normal use, and blades just skim across it without affecting their edge. Made in USA, and definitely recommend.

Quality Mat
The mat was of good quality. I returned it because it was too big for my cutting. The return process was different than I had experienced.

NOT SELF HEALING
The media could not be loaded. Not self healing as titled. Not suitable for rotary cutter. Less than 5 mo and I have cut completely through in several key areas. Many many groves are in the mat. This causes a rotary blade to jump or stick. Which can be very very dangerous and cause irregular cutting. Do not buy as a rotary mat. Not suitable for quilting.

Grid lines are off progressively by over 1/8 of an inch. Don't use to cut with accuracy....
The grid lines on this mat are not accurate, The mat is sturdy and good for cutting. However as the length of your fabric gets longer or if you're stitching together small pieces your seam lines become off sometimes by over a 1/4 of an inch. So overall good for cutting but don't rely on the mat for accuracy..
