Well designed
This thing is dead simple to fly - but you've got to read the instructions.Unlike some flying things, it would be easy to hurt your finger by holding it wrong. I did have to correct my child a few times about letting her fingers hang into the thrust duct. The toy is almost completely automated. You turn it on, hold it by its control stick, and wait a few moments while it increases the power to flight speed. Then it flies around, with obstacle avoidance really only from underneath, until it crashes into something. The motor stops a few moments after it tips over - which is helpful - but it isn't instant shut-off and therefore there is a danger of injury if a child grabs it too quickly.According to its design the blades won't spin up except in a certain moment after power cycling, but as it's an autonomous function I try to treat the blades as "loaded" at all times when power is available.I think the device has some sort of horizontal avoidance design, but we didn't find it to be very sophisticated. It is drawn to getting stuck in the curtains, and also hovers near our glossy cabinet doors until it touches and goes out of control.By handling the control stick, older children can "catch" the UFO and in theory, send it in a horizontal direction to pass to another person. But I don't find this function to work very reliably. Instead, we just launch it and watch it fly around the room until it gets caught on something.I consider this pretty darned safe if we follow the instructions. It's quite sturdy. It's powerful, flying for a good 4 minutes or so, and recharging is quick and simple. And finally although the autonomous control features aren't incredibly sophisticated, what it does do - hover and avoid lower obstacles - I think it does in a very well-controlled way. Definitely a lot of fun.

Fun toy! Needs lots of flight space.
I got this on an offer and wouldn't have paid full price but my daughter who is 8 loves it. It doesn't seem very good quality for what you pay, being made of lightweight foam. My daughter cannot fly it by herself but can play and pass it with some help. You need lots of space to use it and the flight sticks are easy to lose, so it's a good idea for a purchasing parent to watch the Gravitor instruction video to get the best from it.

Hours of good quality fun
Works well and charges quickly via USB, which is good for young kids waiting to play.Once the basic actions have been mastered you can learn tricks. Provides a couple of interest away from screens. Good fun and good value for money!

Fun for a day
Ordered this for Christmas and my son (12 years old) had great fun with it for a day or so before it got broken. It's made of rather flimsy polystyrene that snaps if it crashes too hard into a wall. Fun but not for long...

Absolutely awful!
I ordered this Air Hogs Gravitor for my almost 8yr old Son for Christmas, and I'm so disappointed with it. After my son saw multiple adverts he kept asking for it, and it did look quite impressive in the adverts plastered all over kids tv, however it is pretty much impossible to use. We can't even get it to hover, let alone do any tricks with it. My son kept trying, I've tried numerous times, his Dad has tried numerous times and none of us can get it working. It's also quite expensive for what is basically a piece of Styrofoam with a cheap little motor attached.I would have sent this back well before the end of January, unfortunately early January I contracted Covid and have been quite poorly with it until now. Sadly I seem unable to return it even though it's completely unusable, so that's £15 down the drain. Honestly avoid, it's a piece of junk!

It actually works!
Nothing to dislike. When we took it out of the box I was a bit dubious as it was so light weight and made out of a polystyrene like material. But it actually works. Is easy to use. And hasn't broken yet. We've been careful with it, but it's had its fair share of bumps and is still in one piece. My 5 year old was over the moon with it.

Great fun.
My son loves this. He plays with it all the time. Easy to use and fun to play. Marked down a couple of stars as the trick stick from the top comes out really easily and rolls away making it easy to loose.... We've had several hunts in the past few days! As a kids toy this could have been attached more securely. But over all a great product.
