Perfect for my unusual use
So we have a baby which means baby gates st our stairs. The gate we liked the most does not have an easy way of attaching to a banister without a big ugly piece of wood that straps to it and isn’t much cheaper than the gate itself.Originally I tried to figure out a way to make something but it just didn’t work out very well. After some looking around for ideas, I can across this molding clay which seemed perfect. I needed something I could mold into a rectangular shape that could then be shaped to fit the curves and design of our banister. I particularly liked that this became hard enough to drill and sand as these gates would be opened and closed a lot so it needed to be sturdy. After it arrived, molding it was very easy and once hardened it is rock hard! It worked perfectly for what I needed, which has nothing to do with clay modeling, but hopefully someone will find inspiration in my use.I attached a picture to show how I used it as explaining it is kind of hard.

It is messier than other air-dry clay
I have used other brands that have been neater to work with right out of the package. To be fair, this arrived, uninsulated, on a hot day (perhaps this clay, like good chocolate, would be best not mailed to Florida in Summer). I had a project waiting for it, so I opened it immediately, and it was not just gooey, but literally dripping out of the wrapper. I put it in the refrigerator for a while, but it still was difficult to manage. Trying to roll it into a flat thickness to wrap around a plastic bottle turned out to be impossible, so I just had to squish chunks of it onto my base and smooth them out. It was definitely hard to manage. Additionally, it developed hairline cracking as it dried - which I did not mind so much, as the design of my vase was intentionally crude to begin with. I let it air dry for about a day and a half, and then I gave it a couple applications of clear coat clay glaze, also bought here on AMZI just came back to take another star away from my review. I have never used a clay harder to work with or that cracks so consistently when drying. If I weren't applying plenty of glaze, I'd be afraid that pieces of it would just spontaneously fall off.

Decent Terracotta
This terracotta product serves the purpose for which I bought. The package is vacuum sealed, and as this product is air dry clay, make sure to cover the extra while working. This product dries quickly, which is excellent (it also implies you need to sculpt faster or submerge it underwater for slowing down drying).I'm not sure if this is easy to work with for beginners.

Great
I made 2 Topiary's and used the clay to roll long thin pieces for a vine to wrap around the trunk (wooden stake). Worked great dried fast.

Can't beat the price
Works as well as any clay I've used and very reasonably priced.

Not terra cotta
Horrible bright orange, pinkish color—not terra cotta.
