"Patch Me Up" Iron-on Clothing Patches - Plaid 2

Love the patches but am having trouble having them stay on for any length of time.I followed the directions to the letter. Perhaps my iron is not as hot as some.

Easy to iron on however they did not hold so I will need to sew them on as well which I kinda expected. They were easy to apply onto my jeans and they are pretty big patches. I would buy again and just make sure to sew them on before I wash and use them.

Ironed them on the inside of my jeans and I repositioned the broken strings that had stretched across the holes to stick nicely to the patch and let the plaid shows thru. Works great to cover holes that just got too big. Cut patch down to about 1/2 inch larger all the way around the hole-- no larger-- if jeans are stretchy, because the patch is not.

::::::::::This is something every crafter, or parent who needs to fix some of jeans really quick, will love. I ordered these so that I could use them on some sweatshirts for my son. I liked the fact that they were iron-on though I intend to use the serger on them around the edges just because I like the look that it gives. I picked the plaid group just because I thought it was more masculine than the other things I had seen, but these could just as easily be used on girls/women's clothing as men's.My sweatshirts did not arrive as expected, but I did try this as an iron-on only. From previous experience with iron-ons, I knew to follow the manufacturer's instructions exactly. Temperature as well as timing is important. Before you try a new product, make sure to test it on similar fabric. The type of fabric, as well as the thickness of the fabric, will play a role in how well this works also. I cut off a thin strip about 1/2 an inch wide and applied it using the instructions and did not have a problem. The old sweatshirt was washed a few times and the patch is still adhering, even with no sewing around the edges.I love the colors of these and can't wait to try them on the sweatshirts. I plan on making little elbow patches on each shirt, just something very plain and simple that can really dress up any kind of shirt. This same application would be good on a jean shirt too. But as with any craft item, the uses are only as limited as your imagination. Once I have finished my shirts, I will add some additional images. If I have unexpected results at that time, I will update my review then.My hope is that sharing my opinion, perspective, and actual experiences with products I use in my everyday life can be beneficial to others as they make their own purchasing decisions.
