Introduction & Primary Use I purchased the Seagate One Touch 5TB to store my growing movie collection, which requires massive space for large video files. The 5TB capacity was the single biggest selling point for me, offering incredible space for the price. The setup was simple and I was able to format it for my usage easily. Performance and Security I primarily use this drive for large, archival file transfers. While moving my initial collection of several terabytes, it did feel slow, but that's just the nature of moving large amounts of data. Using a benchmark tool, I confirmed the sequential speeds are running right around 128 MB/s, which is actually very fast for a portable mechanical hard drive (HDD) and significantly better than older external drives I've used. This is my second purchase of a Seagate One Touch external HDD. First one was a 2 TB version which I bought 2 years back. Considering the storage price steadily increasing I decided to buy another one. But this time I went with 4TB because 2 TB was costing ~ 9k and 4TB ~ 12.5k. 4TB made a lot of sense. I did not care about the colour. Just went ahead with the one I was getting a bank discount. Seagate hard drives are reliable. For me they have always worked well and worked better than other brands. One Touch version costs slightly more but it comes with password protection which is an added advantage. In summary, though price has steadily increased, but I still feel buying this 4TB version of external HDD makes a lot of sense and I am totallu satisfied with this purcahse. Just a closing note. If you are buying this one or the 2TB version, please get a quality case like the "Aircase" which is also available on Amazon. I bought a 2nd Aircase for this 4TB HDD and it fitted perfectly. The case is quality made and rugged. Just search for "Aircase external HDD case" and you should be able to find it.

The product is good. It not 5TB storage device it comes with 4.54 GB space. Tranfer rate is quite slow. The service centre is also limited.

It has SKYHAWK durable surveillance hdd inside , works with low power , just one usb cable, no need for external power . Speed is just what an hdd should run at. and it's the cheapest plug and play 8tb hdd at the moment.

Doesn't work. Followed all troubleshooting steps to no avail. Can't find it in disk management and in device manager no amount of reinstalling or updating of drivers help. Tried different cables, usb ports and windows ( 7, 10, 11) across 3 different computers. Doesn't even show up in cmd - diskpart - list disk. Changed usb power settings also. Tried all that in safe mode also, nothing works. Finally after all that and more I call their support number to be told that they have dropped support for Hindi, no problem pressed 1 for english. Then on further navigating the tree I'm now being told to go to their website as there is no other option for support. Do not recommend, especially for Indian customers as decreased support options is a telltale sign of anti consumer measures especially against less tech savy and non english speaking customers so that they can't claim warranty support.

Klasse 3.5 Zoll Festplatte. Aber Achtung: Der USB-C Anschluss muss - ZWINGEND - mindestens 15 Watt oder mehr liefern. Wenn das nicht der Fall ist, blinkt die Betriebs-LED der Festplatte Rot auf und die Festplatte funktioniert nicht !!! Sie benötigt nun mal mehr Power um zu funktionieren, dafür hat Sie kein Netzstecker, wie bisher üblich.
