Pin Socks Too! And Never Lose a Sock in the Wash! -- And Never Sort Socks Again!
You can see in the picture: I pin my socks together. Yes, from the time I took them out of the bag, and washed them for the first time, I've pinned them together. It's like that pair stays together for life! Hard to believe, I've been doing this for over 30 years. I started when I was living in a residence for a summer which had a housekeeper who took care of dinner, cleaning, and laundry. In explaining the rules of the residence, one of them was unlike any I have ever heard before. The housekeeper made it clear, "I don't sort socks! If you want them sorted, pin them together with Safety (Diaper) Pins." So, in the next few days, I bought a bunch of these at the local supermarket and did as I was told. I was also told I should choose yellow or white, that no one was using them.I never stopped pinning my socks together after I left the residence that year and assumed responsibility for doing my own wash once again. First of all, I found that pinning them at the bottom of the heel area made them easy to fold and put away. Secondly, in all this time, I have never lost a sock! I might have lost a pair, but I never kept track of them that closely. I also learned something new that summer. I do not like to sort socks either! With this new knowledge, I was not going to go back to old ways. That would be quite stupid. What I thought might have been a cranky complaint, was actually a mouthful of wisdom. After 30 years, some of my plastic-headed safety pins are giving out. The dryers have finally melted them too much. I'm starting to replace them with all metal brands. They'll probably last more than the others, even though I might not last that long!

Great heavy duty safety pins
I use safety pins to keep my socks paired in the laundry. Ordinary safety pins can't stand the stress of the washer/dryer one-two punch and one or two would fail each week. This left metal bits and sharp items in the wash.I tried larger safety pins with the same result. The two piece "normal" construction would have the "safety" head pulled off the spring body. While they all didn't fail each time, the failure rate had me looking for something better. These pins are GREAT. One piece construction and very robust. About every fourth laundry I'll find that one managed to get open and leave the socks uncoubled, but the pin itself was easy to fine and still intact. Bending it a bit to get more tension when closed fixed the problem. These are not dainty safety pins, but they don't seem to damage the socks and they hold up extremely well. I highly recommend.

Super heavy duty!
I use these to pin together heavy fabrics and they go in the washer and dryer regularly. Haven't noticed any rusting happening yet, so I think the chrome or whatever is on there pretty thick. Time will tell, but no complaints so far! They're doing what they're supposed to.

Just a little bit more
I do like the pins but it's just need to be a little sharper at the point as well as just a little longer at the point to make it safety.

Exactly as described
These are great, no complaints. Very well made safety pins. I basically have nothing to mention because they work just as described and look great!

Perfect Pin
I bought these to hang ornament/tags for my daughters shoe bag advent calendar. They worked perfectly, held securely, and were easy to open and close. I preferred the antique gold color to the shiny gold for this use. The pin part is pointy enough to go through most fabrics. However, the very tight weave (and probably synthetic fabric) of the shoe bag made it slightly more difficult to pierce as it is a thick pin.

If you’re looking for Very sturdy this is it
Yes they are very sturdy but too thick and sturdy for me. I need something that can go through more delicate fabrics and look more jewelry like. These are more functional looking. I think would work best with a more woven or knitted fabric to be able to get the thickness of the point through

Works perfectly for my intended use
Love the size...I have quite a lot of 1 and 2 gallon pressure insecticide pumps...I can't remember how many times I have had to stop spraying and go back to shop to get a piece of wire to clean the want tip after removing the nozzle tip..I clamp one of these around the hose (these large ones do NOT crimp or put any pressure on the hose itself) itself so if I am at the other end of property, all I have to do is unclamp the safety pin and clean the tip right here without the trip back to the shop
