I broke the original removing the crank from my bike.This is an exact fit for my Shimano STEPS EM600 cranks on my Orbea Rise.Btw, I feel this will work on either side of the bike.

Broke mine while cleaning the crank on my bike. Went to local bike store to get a replacement. They told me they do not carry them, they only come with the crank and I'd have to contact Shimano. I was like WOW. So while I am there I look up on Amazon and there they are...$7 and here in two days. Told the bike store guys and said see-ya. Amazon is awesome. Have found so many things on Amazon that I's never thought I'd find. ThanksAmazon.

To small to fit my Deore cranks and not enough information on the product page.

I used a Dremel to trim it down. Now it fits perfectly in my Dura-Ace 9000 crank arm and keeps the arm in place when the bolts are loose.

The loss of a star is less of a reflection of the quality and more for a dislike of the method that Shimano uses to secure the left crank to the spindle. But this should hold the crank to the spindle in the event that you don't periodically check your bolts to make sure they haven't come loose. I don't want to test that.

I bought this because the used Shimano XTR M980 I bought doesn't have one. I tried using the one from my SLX but it won't fit. I read that this one works with Dura Ace cranks, so I thought maybe it would fit my XTR and they did!

Fit perfectly and was shipped quickly.

This one worked for me. I don't know why so many people lose or break these. I've had to replace it on every hollowtech ii bike I've owned.
