Well Stitched; Made For Purrpose - Cat's Meow
In the event your cognitive capacity nicely exceeds your cranial capacity, this could be just what you're looking for.Item does run small, and fits snugly under size S Bern helmet - so, presumably, if it'll stretch comfortably over your noggin, then even more room inside your ever-larger brain-case-protection.Seems well stitched, with the pony tail cut-out purrhaps somewhat larger than you may have imagined it would be; So, danged if sliding through that dang pretty dangle of yours ain't just about the easiest gollderned thing in the world.Santa Advisory: One could envision it making for a very nicely appreciated stocking stuffer, but wash off that sugar-plum fairy dust, so it doesn't get too sticky.UPDATE:Have used her a few times and expect she'll be, pretty-much, the constant companion she was designed to be.The elastic seems to have stretched slightly over brief time, so now she's an even better fit, and she does retain some body heat, so is nice and cuddly warm - granted, it hasn't yet gotten what one may call frigid just yet, low 50°s, maybe somewhat cooler with the pedal-promoted wind chill - at any rate, so far one hardly notices she's even there.& keep your head in the game,SwanUPDATE:After utilizing this thingy, almost daily, for about a month or so, I really have to share with you that I am absolutely loving it - It's my new BFF!a.) On colder days it retains near perfect heat quotient - I'm not sure if you practice the 5th Law of Thermos Dynamics: One can lose, or gain, no small amount of warm fuzzies via proper noggin noddin'; And, listen-up: one can fold the lower-cut ear flap parts upwards for more of a breath of fresh air, need be.b.) Also, it may seem an odd fact of space-time, however, being spacey over a brief amount of time, one gathers that the thing seamingly conforms to one's [let's be honest: rather unfathomable] region - granted, given one is, in pointed of fact, really more honeydew than watermelonheaded - not unlike, one imagines, the universality of the trending sought after Vulcan Mind-Meld.So, I really do have to, most vociferously, recommended: If you are thinking, there, stop being a big silly stupid head about it and purchase, toot-sweet-like; You'll be happy you did, In all likelihood.Beyond that, flap your wings vigorously on cold days, and make lots of snow angels.-Swan

Comfortable, warm, can be worn over the ears or not
This is significantly bigger than other helmet liners I've tried, probably because it's made to come down over your ears, but also it just seems more roomy. Still fits under a helmet with no problem. Other skull caps have left a band across my forehead because they were so tight. This does not have that problem. I like the fact that I can pull it down over my ears or not; works fine either way. Seems well made. It's easy to pull my pony tail through the opening as with a baseball cap.

Not worth $10...don't waste your money!
*update 12-30-20*This item was a gift and I told the receiver she could return it for credit if she wanted. But she used it for a run and said it was nice and warm and she loved the pony tail opening. She didn't return it.Apparently it is good for what it is intended...running and exercise. I still say it is not worth $10, but that is up to you! I think you could get a yard of the same material at JoAnns for less.I was super disappointed when I received this. I still wrapped it as it is a present, but it is going in the stocking. I may tell the recipient to return it for the Amazon credit. What was wrong? I wish I had taken a picture before I wrapped it, but it is super thin...I mean SUPER thin.It is basically a head stocking. It came in a package half the size of a zip lock sandwich bag.Think of something as substantial as nylons for your legs, but the size of a skull cap.Very unhappy about this one.

A great hat for a great price!
This hat is an excellent buy! I actually had a different hat in my shopping cart when I came across this one for about half the price. I saw that it was described as a helmet liner, so I was worried that it might be too thin to really keep my head warm. But I took a chance and I'm glad I did. Note: it is not a thick fleece cap, but rather a lighter fleece-ish material. Still, it does its job in temperatures that aren't too far below freezing. I've worn this hat for recent walks/runs on some cloudy/misty 30-40 degree days (20-30 degree wind chills), and it has kept my head warm without overheating like my wool cap does. I LOVE the ponytail feature which allows me to comfortably pull the cap all the way down over my ears without having my ponytail in the way. And I look forward to testing it out with my bike helmet in a couple of months as well. Highly recommend for moderately cold days (probably anything above 20 degrees).

Fits my giant head
I wish the seam was also elastic vs. fabric because after about 45 minutes it has to be adjusted on my forehead or it makes my head hurt, but I have a large noggin -- most people probably won't even notice. Other than that, nice quality, soft fabric and the opening in the back is totally accommodating for a ponytail. I have a different helmet liner from Lululemon where the ponytail hole is so small it's almost impossible to use. This one is great.

Great in theory, but extremely uncomfortable
This is a great product in theory, and it works beautifully as long as you do not plan on wearing it under a helmet. I have medium length hair and needed protection under my helmet to keep my hair from breaking, so based on the ratings I bought this item. It's easy to put on and protects the hair when your putting the helmet on, and while wearing it; however, after a very brief time, as in 30 minutes or less, the seams become incredibly uncomfortable to the point of painful. If you're not going to wear it under a helmet, it's great. For me it's a waste of money. I cant use it.

Fits my big head and thick hair without sliding off the top of my head as I run
I have a big, round head and a ton of slick hair. I like running hats with ponytail holes, but since they are intended for women and manufacturers think women have tiny heads, they are always too small. This is the only running beanie with a ponytail hole that I've found that actually stays put without sliding off the top of my head. It's pretty thin, but warm enough for the PNW. I haven't tried wearing it under a helmet, but I imagine it would work fine.

I love this skull cap beanie!!! My head, ears and ponytails love it!!
I wish I purchased more than one (looks like it's out of stock). I wear it for my daily 45 min walk and it's amazing! It's similar to Lulu's skull cap but costs 50% less.

Great running cap for running in cold weather
My wife uses this for running in cold weather - it fits nicely-not too tight, washes well, keeps the head warm and the ear phones nicely in place. Also bonus to have opening for a pony tail. Would buy again.
