Guadalupe Mysteries: Deciphering the Code Hardcover – June 28, 2016

This book is fascinating for anyone delving into the miracle of the image of Guadalupe. I was never very interested in this image until I saw a traveling reproduction of it and listened to an expert explain some of the many miracles about it; however, even then I didn’t hear many of the things in this book. The part about the eyes is amazing! The photos and details really helped to explain why it’s so miraculous. I especially loved the pictures and the explanations by legit scientists about their findings since my background is in science. It’s difficult for me to believe in things like this unless non-Catholic, unbiased scientists weigh in, and the Vatican makes sure to get experts to verify things like this. I like “miraculous” things to be researched extensively, and I want logical explanations, not just ones by believers who might have biased opinions. This image is so strange and wonderful with SO MANY weird, unexplainable things about it, and this book explains (but actually can’t explain scientifically) lots of the miracles associated with its creation. The biggest miracle is that literally MILLIONS of people were converted by this image. I can see why after reading this book. There is a reason so many people are fascinated by it! I like this book so much that I bought copies for my siblings after reading my own. It’s a book I won’t even lend out because I love it so much. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

Beautiful pictures and explanations. This book is so thorough and well put together. It also makes a great coffee table book- everyone in my family are frequently picking it up.

This is an amazing book about Catholic history in the Americas specifically Mexico. I couldn't put it down and the pictures are great!

Excellent printing and fabrication. The story of the lady of Guadalupe is the story of a Marian apparition to a lowly farmer , who eventually picked up a bunch of flowers from a hilltop (out of season!) wrapped them in his winter coat , eventually to reveal a work of art to the bishop of the time that was on par with European grand masters style of the time while including many the most beautiful elements of Aztec culture from astronomy to music while including elements from the book of Revelation. There’s also a chapter of how Our Lady’s image has been part of Mexican history for the past 5 centuries. Highly recommended

It has every bit of history surrounding the event. It is very in depth, well researched and well written. Highest recommendation.
