This laptop "lap desk" is sturdy, attractive, and has held up very well. It is a bit expensive but it's also vastly superior to the cheap plastic lap desks that you can get for half the price or less. There's plenty of room on this for up to a 15.6" laptop. The designated mouse pad is also nice (assuming you are right handed) and prevents the mouse from sliding away. The small holder is good for placing a smartphone but I've also used it at times to keep a pen or stylus. Also, unlike cheap lap desks, the cushion on this thing is well made and appears highly unlikely to tear. (I've had cheap lap desks with the cushion seams opening up, allowing little styrofoam beads to get everywhere). The pillow cushion is very comfortable. I don't find that I use the wrist rest all that much but it's a nice feature and also well made. Not genuine leather but good enough "leatherette."In short, this is an excellent lap desk. The only reasons I did not give 5 stars: If priced $5-$10 less, it would be a better value, and second, it's actually so well built that it's kind of heavy.Lastly, to the recent review stating that it broke after one night of use: I don't believe it. There is no way the pictured damage would occur on its own. That item was either damaged prior to arrival or it fell off the bed and the corner slammed the floor. This thing is heavy duty.

This is a real workhorse lap desk. I use it daily as I work from home. I sit in my recliner with it on my lap and have accumulated probably 1,200 hours of use over ten months. I really like the mouse pad and the wrist support, not that I bought it for the wrist support, but that feature's main advantage to me is that it keeps my mouse from sliding off the desk as I typically hold the desk angling down toward me. So the wrist support acts as a mouse stop. When I occasionally us another lap desk I'm aggravated at how the mouse slides off and I have to dig it out of the space between my seat cushion and the arm of my chair.The one defect I've noticed is that after almost a year of very heavy use the bean bag type cushioning underneath is getting thinner somehow and seems to be at about 50 % or its original volume (see photo). That means it doesn't pad as well as it did when new and I'm feeling the wood bottom of the desk more often as I move my legs around through the day. But for the price, and given my heavy use, I'd happily buy another one as compared to any other lap desk I've used.UPDATE, Oct. 2022. So my second one of these lap desks made it a little over a year. Same issue as reported above: bean bag filling losing its pizzaz. But I'm getting ready to order my third for the reasons stated above. Haven't seen anything I think I'd like better for heavy daily use. I like the phone holder and the mouse pad, and it fits my MacBook Pro 16 inch perfectly.

I was about to write a raving review about this until I noticed it’s already broken. I just got this yesterday and used it in bed and the corner is cracked and the veneer peeling off already! I love the size and the quality is good. It’s nearly perfect for me, better than perfect if you can never stay warm enough. Unfortunately in my case, I don’t need the extra heat but the incredibly dense and warm pillow at the bottom let’s zero air flow through and turns into a furnace on my lap within minutes. I have to turn down the temperate in my room vastly just to stand it. I’ll have to look for a replacement.

This travel desk is pretty high quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the fabric of the pillow is actually woven rather than just being a printed image. The pillow is, also filled with beads/beans instead of regular stuffing and I think that is a nice touch that adds to the comfort and I find it has helps with anxiety a little bit as well. Overall arrived quickly and fits my 15" laptop well and looks great.
