MapeiGrout Refresh - Ivory - 240ml Bottle

I’ve hated my tile floors since we moved in 15 years ago. I’ve always planned to replace the floors but it is such a HUGE project that it still hasn’t happened. No matter what I did to clean the grout, the ugly brown grout the previous owners chose ALWAYS looked dirty. I decided to give this sealer a try and I am amazed. It’s a game changer. Although I still don’t love my floors, they don’t bother me as much as they did and at least they look clean when I scrub them. We’ve had the sealer down for a month and haven’t had any issues with it lifting. I use a steam mop so there isn’t water left sitting in the grout lines which I think helps. To prep, I used a scrub brush with diluted bleach on some lines and toilet cleaner on others. The results were the same with both. The key is scrubbing each line with a bristle brush, just mopping your floor is not going to allow the sealer to adhere properly.

Colour too bright so I returned it

I used Mapei grout initially on my tiles, but the color wasn't even, so used this and it recolored the grout nicely using the original grout color code. It's a bit tedious to use, especially removing the excess after it dries (use a piece of rigid plastic or some sort of non-metallic scraper), but it's a lot less work/effort/time/cost than replacing the grout.

This is a very easy product to use, recommend using a brush to apply (using the nozzle is too inefficient and messy and you have to spend a whole lot of time cleaning the actual tiles afterwards). in my case, I had to apply two or three coats to cover the previous brown grout properly (And also to get the right color, I mixed the ivory with light almond - The ivory is actually a taupe color, and the light almond is a very bright cream!). It dried in 24 hours and I have been able to clean the counter without issues.
