Ease
The media could not be loaded. Aside from the delivery truck bringing the package to my garage in back of the house, instead of my front door as directed, the product was intact. No leaks! I have been using this stuff for decades to keep my mom & dad’s 1948 mahogany wood bedroom furniture (as well as other rooms) beautiful! I just pour the oil stain onto a rag and wipe or rub into the discoloration. You can use wax to fill in gaping cracks or holes. This stuff truly restores, renews, refreshes my wood for a decent price! Rub and buff handles/knobs with gold or silver and call it a day!

Not great for scratches but it works miracles on faded furniture!
This product doesn't do a great job at coving scratches and dings, especially small chips/gouges in new wood. The dye just isn't strong enough and it doesn't have any volume to fill gouges like a crayon would for example. That said: This has been a miracle at restoring my faded and damaged wood! I picked up a set of Ethan Allen chairs at a thrift store and they were in bad shape-- bleached, scratched, faded, gouged, scraped, even peeling in places. Instead of just applying the Old English Scratch Cover spot by spot, I just got a paper towel and wiped it over almost the whole chair. Beautiful results! So much easier than re-staining and the chairs have been brought back to life! And unlike staining, I didn't have to strip or worry about matching the color because the color blends in so well. Plus a lot less mess. It also improved the surface of the wood. It definitely conditions the wood, instead of just dying or covering. It takes more than one coat, so you will have to use this a few times, especially for scratches.Incidentally, I also used this to dye leather shoelaces a darker color, and that worked well too, although it made them a little waxy/slippery and the color bled until I let them dry a few days and wiped them down thoroughly. For more severe damage, I've found better results if I let it soak in for a bit before I wipe it all off. It goes without saying but don't sit or touch clothing to the wood surface until this has dried. For scratches or water rings, I'd apply it fairly thick and let it sit, like about the thickness of the minimum oil you'd need to cook an egg with. Then wait a few hours and wipe it away. Then I use regular old english wood protector over it, making sure my paper towel isn't coming up brown before I sit on it.I LOVE this product so I'm giving it 5 stars, BUT beware that if you're buying this to fix a specific little scratch or ding, it doesn't work all that well for that purpose, despite what it is advertised as.

Awesome
I remember using this at my parents' house when they bought a used waterbed (yes, THAT long ago) so I got it to try to rejuvenate a few furniture pieces. I haven't gotten that motivated yet but I have rejuvenated multiple picture frames, an old jewelry box of my grandfather's, and some mirrors that I didn't love the look of. And I've barely put a dent in the amount of product. Yes, it WILL stain clothes (it's got mineral oil in it) and yes, you need to buff a lot. But it does work fantastic and the price is great.
