I wish it was not so cheaply made
The calculator is a clone of a Sharp EL-506P from 1984, which was a good scientific calculator for its time- nice back then because of its support hexadecimal for programmers. But it is dated, so for example, no engineering display (where the exponent is forced to be a multiple of 3). But this is no Sharp... it's cheap junk..The LR1120 battery holder for the calculator is cheap, so on mine, if I held the divide key down too hard while holding the calculator in my hand, it interrupted the battery contacts and the calculator resets (losing my work..).The alignment of the labels of the shifted functions is off, so it looks like the labels go with the keys above the text when actually they go with the keys below the text. So this tells me they have terrible quality control on their manufacturing line. The "dead flesh" mushy keys are better than some other similar cheap calculators- at least they are bigger, but still they sometimes jam under the housing. They should use plastic keys, like on the Sharp original.I do like the relatively large screen. The LCD drawing pad is fun to play with.

Damaged and used
Had to call and ask for a replacement because it came in a damaged box, battery was gone and so was the battery holder then the note part was also already written on and had a burglar words on it and it can’t be cleared like it should be able to, finger prints and scratches on the screen too. Waiting to see if the replacement is new or used. My daughter really wanted this so we’re hoping it gets here in time for one of her stocking stuffers. Bummer so far.

Notepad screen broke after 3 months
Edit: I contacted the company, even though we were beyond the return window. They suggested I replace the battery. I ordered batteries (at a cost of $6) and installed. Still does not work. They were kind enough to do a partial refund beyond the return window of $8. So basically after the useless battery purchase, I got a $2 discount on a half broken calculator. Also note, the battery for the calculator is a different size than the battery for the notepad. Overall, would not purchase again. I thought this calculator would be helpful for my child with a processing delay to write down his math problems on the notepad while he used the calculator to do the math. He loved it! But the notepad side stopped erasing after 90 days. Very disappointed.
