I suffer from Cervicogenic headaches and neck pain and this is the ONLY stuff that has ever helped besides getting knocked out at the er for a "migraine" this will be my 3rd order. I suggest applying with disposable gloves. Every warning you see about the heat is true. So be careful. But I'd rather feel the burn and be okay instead of curled up in a ball of misery.

This stuff burns something awful. I got it to help with nerve itching. It burned so bad for about an hour, but then the itching stopped for about 15 hours. Do not use it on any open skin, that’s for sure. I’ll put it on again an hour before I go to bed and just push through the pain. And it will burn if you take a shower even 12 hours after. Still going to keep using it, because the itching was worse.

Update:After writing this review and giving it two stars, I stopped using it completely due to the burning, and easy transfer of the cream from one's hands to eyes, mouth, towels, even after washing with soap and water. Absolutely not worth it. I am using BioFreeze now, and will never go back to the mess.I have chronic nerve damage in my legs from running injuries. I bought this cream to help relieve the nightly numbness and tingling in my feet.This product was a package of three tubes of cream, with the active ingredient being Capsaicin- the stuff that makes chile pods hot. Being from New Mexico, we eat, sleep and breathe green chile, so my first time using this, I slathered this cream on my affected areas liberally like I would applying lotion after a shower.After a few minutes, the burning sensation was so hot it almost brought me to my knees, and it subsided to something manageable after I laid on my bed for 30 minutes. I absolutely cannot believe how awful this felt for the first few minutes- my only equivalent was when I moved back after being out of the state for a decade and failed to wear gloves while peeling green chile. My hands throbbed for days. The package does say that the burning will ease with reapplication, and I was daring enough to apply this again - the burning was much less the second time around. The package also says that individual reactions will vary - mine just happened to be severe.The lesson here -no kidding, your first time using this, apply a small test patch and wait a few minutes before applying any additional cream. Be sure not to rub it over any cuts- absolute burning hot misery will ensue. Wash your hands with soap and water immediately after-do it at least twice. This stuff stays on your hands and will punish you if you rub your eyes, nose etc.How does it work? Well, I’ve been burning so badly that I don’t even notice the numbness in my feet. Not sure the trade off is worth it.

Product works great as long as your skin is dry and you don’t apply too much. When I was at home and used it sparingly it worked well but lasts 12 hours or more (all days). When I was using it in the garage when I was sweaty it continued to get hot and burn my skin. There should be a better warning with this product. The value of getting so many packages for such a cheap price is great. I gave them all away except for the open package. I still use this one but I mix it with lotion to tame it a little.

I bought the capsaicin .025 to try instead of using the stronger strength cream I had awhile ago. The strong stuff works, but there is serious stinging pain for quite awhile and if you do get any near your hands, eyes or worse it is awful. I had bought the Rugby .025 for other chronic pain issues but never used it much. When my cervical Degenerative Disc disease got so bad I reached for it. Nothing would touch the pain but this really helps! Even calms the tight neck spasms which cause terrible headaches . I still make sure I wear gloves when putting it on and only use a small dab at a time~ you do not need much. The first 1/2 an hour there is slight sting (not bothersome to me) and then a noticeable drop in pain with some relief. I have been using it 3X a day, or whenever my neck reminds me to use it! Before bed has helped me sleep better even. Great relief for the price without pain meds which do not work on this pain anyways.
