After soaking, rinsing and drying, I placed them on a low burner to try them out and they caught fire in seconds, sending acrid smoke roiling into my kitchen.On inspection, both units I received had protective film still attached to the inside surfaces of the metal. Sheet metal manufacturers commonly use these films and they should have been removed before the two halves were assembled. The surfaces are totally inaccessible. The plastic cannot be washed out. I took one outside onto my grill burner and even after 45 minutes on low heat it still smoked slightly and smelled awful.These are a clear and dangerous safety hazard. Do not purchase!

For whatever reason the flames on my stove are extra high even when you turn the knob down so this was definitely needed.

Just arrived today. One on the left is un-used. One on the right was used for 20 minutes. Water never did boil. Waste of money

I’ve bought others and they were junk. These seem to be a much better grade of stainless. I definitely recommend this brand.
