Retro-Bit Sega Genesis 2 Nomad 9-PIN AV Cables Video

This is a review for the Retro-Bit 9-pin A/V cable for the Sega Genesis Model 2/Nomad. I got them in a timely manner. They and the box they came in looked fine, with no damage visible anywhere. The cables work perfectly. Before, I was using a Coax cable with only 3 pins (I STILL don't know why it worked...). I wanted to stream games with my Genesis, but when I connected it to my TV Tuner, it came out black-and-white, with no sound. When I used this A/V Cable, it... was still the same. It turned out my TV Tuner couldn't do it. One USB capture device later, and the A/V cables work like a dream. I've also plugged them into my old VCR, and they work perfectly there. They have good sound and color. If you need to plug a Sega Genesis into a TV, or an RCA-based streaming system, these will work perfectly. NOTE: These, as I have said a few times, are for the Model 2 Genesis or Nomad. If you need one for the Genesis 1, search for the version that only has 2 cables (the Genesis 1 output mono audio). These SHOULD also work with the Genesis 3, and I believe the 32X. Just read other reviews and make sure.

When I plugged everything in and was ready to play, nothing happened, just a blank screen, but I know it was sending a video signal. Turns out I just needed to clean my cartridges with some isopropyl alcohol and then BAM! It’s alive! So happy to play my old Sega Genesis again, even if it looks crappy on my flatscreen.

Retrobit makes accessories that work like oem parts. Don't try to save a dollar for the cheapest item. The price is worth it for a quality product that will add new life to your classic condole.

Needed this for my Model 1+32X combo and it worked perfectly. It has comparable video quality to the OEM Model 1 cable using a CRT. Don't expect amazing video quality through composite though. For model 2/32X I would recommend getting an RGB to S-video converter box, or SCART if you have that available on your TV.

Not gold plated, false advertising. Cables do work so did not rate 1 star.

Overall it works and for the price it's ok I guess but really it does not compare to something like the hd retrovision cable which gives vastly better quality video but costs considerably more. For the price Retro-Bit cable works well and the cable itself feels like good quality construction.

These arrived in a Retro-Bit box exactly like the picture in the description. It is a nine-pin AV cable with video+stereo (yellow, red, and white) output. It absolutely worked 100% with my Sega Genesis (model 2) and my Sega 32X. So for compatibility, here you go: Genesis Model 1 without 32X: Incompatible (uses different AV cable) Genesis Model 1 with 32X: Compatible (32X includes model 1 adapter) Genesis Model 2 without 32X: Compatible Genesis Model 2 with 32X: Compatible (these use the same AV cable) Genesis Model 3 without 32X: Compatible Genesis Model 3 with 32X: N/A (32X not supported on model 3) Great price, decent quality, very happy with it.

aucun soucis avec le câble. je n'ai pas eu besoin de forcer pour le rentrer dans la console et verdict tout fonctionne parfaitement plus de défauts d'image. donc je suis très satisfait de ce produit et je vais enfin pouvoir rejouer a ma méga drive! je recommande donc ce produit pour ceux qui ont besoin d'un nouveau câble vidéo pour cette fabuleuse machine.

por que funciona lastima que las teles HD la megadrive se vea como pixelada pero no es culpa del cable si no de la consola
