Not useful to me. Cutoff fuse when stare to use

This review is for the 24V 3 A Candid SMPS. This is an Indian made product based on the markings outside and inside the SMPS and has very good repairability. The case is easy open unlike every other units in the same form facter, they have a fuse and the board is mostly simple with THT parts. Relatively easy to repair or service. This is something that's rare these days.The input side has an EMI filter and as they said the power cap is rated for 500VDC as opposed to the usual 400V ones. The latter is usually sufficient but the 500V rated cap is more likely to survive transients on the input.However, there are also some issues. The HV and LV side creepage spacing is insufficent in some regions. An output trace is routed quite close to the input line, it could transfer a largish spike to the output. The much better PSU have them but at this price range, it's not common. The bigger problem that I see is that all the output caps are 25V rated for a 24V power supply. It's not a matter of if they'll fail rather when. Bad design choice.The output has a lot ripple noise (400mV p-p, around 130Khz) with a lot of harmonics. This could be an issue for sensitive electronics unless you put in some extra filtering.The load regulation @ 2.7A (it's rated for 3A) was about 2%Overall, know the limitations but for a basic, low cost unit that's made within the country, this might be an acceptable choice.

The adapter is completely unreliable. Failed within a month of usage. The warranty offered by the merchant is a joke as the merchant will ask you to ship the defective product to his facility in Noida. The cost of shipping is 50% of the product cost.
