Use it year-round, every fill up with lawn equipment and vintage vehicles. Really works!
I've been using Sta-bil for years in my lawn equipment and vintage bikes. Simple to use. I about 1/4oz for 2-2.5 gallons and 1/2oz for 4-5 gallon tanks typical on motorcycles. I do the same for gas cans for the mower, weed wacker, chainsaw, etc. Might be slightly over by a slight amount but it won't hurt anything. Just keep it in all this stuff year round and it'll always start at the beginning of the season.Ethanol is blamed a lot, but the real problem is the aromatics in the fuel. They've been removed in recent years so fuel goes bad in as little as 3 weeks in these puny carburetor bowls. I've been using this with 10% 87 for over a decade, never an issue. Running the carbs dry at the end of the season is not enough. There's still some residue in those tiny idle passageways so you really want to have the fuel stabilizer in there at all times so you don't have to clean carbs every year. The 32oz bottle is a good value if you have a lot of equipment like me and keep it topped off all the time.

5 Stars
Stabil owns the market when it comes to fuel saving additive. I find the marine blue is a much better product than the red.

Reliable and a must
This Sab-Bil product is like having your own personal Mechanic. I have been using Sta-Bil for such a long time now that it's a must have in my opinion, in fact i find it as important as a life jacket. I park up for 3 months at a time over winter and when i start the engine it Puuurs. I have just fitted a new 250hp Yamaha and this motor will also be looked after with Sta-Bil Marine Ethanol Treatment.

BUY AND USE THIS FOR SMALL ENGINES
I ain't gonna bite my tongue when I say that if you have any small engines, outboards or other things gas powered which might be affected by the goo and crap found in almost all gasolines. When you treasure your time and purchases this is a super cheap way to keep your weedeaters, mowers, etc., etc. out of the repair shops. Almost 10 years ago, while living out in the country, I had to replace my generator. I had saved money by not spending a few dollars for fuel treatments. Well I had a rude awakening when a storm hit and my generator was dead from carb' problems. Now I do mean DEAD! Well it was old and after a quite expensive repair bill ready for the next storm. Finally it died the death from another gasoline issue where I had also saved money by no gas treatments. (can we spell stupid?) Here came my new generator and from minute one every drop of gasoline is treated with this product, religiously. At the end of each season or running of my generator now I proceed to run the fuel totally out and then store it "dry". Last week in view of our early hurricane season we again broke out, fueled up and tested Lil' Sparky. Seemingly Lil' Sparky was all ready to go to the races because on the first pull it was once again performing perfectly. Oh, it has been over two years since we last ran Lil' Sparky and as I said "one pull".

It's fuel stabilizer. It's blue. It stabilizes fuel... and the bottle is convenient.
Not much to say from a layperson's point of view. Does this actually work? It seems to - I apply it religiously after each refuel and have not had any fuel issues with my OB motor - a 250 Evinrude e-tec G2. I've got a pretty large gas tank for the boat's size so there's always gas left after a run and even between seasons and again, I've never had a fuel problem - so I suppose it works. It's an ounce of prevention proposition. The bottle is convenient - the squeeze to measure feature with the long neck applicator is handy so you don't need to guess or use an outside measuring container - just squeeze an ounce at a time and pour it into your tank until you hit the desired ratio of stabilizer to fuel. And if you have a gigantic gas tank you can just upend the bottle through the non-metered spout.I'm not sure why it has to be blue. I'm guessing Stabil went with a marine theme but I'd just as well have it clear or as clear as they can make it. If your wax job is not up to snuff and there's a gust of wind while you're pouring (or some jerk doesn't observe the no-wake rule) this stuff will temporarily stain your white gel coat. It seems to bleach away in the sun though, but it takes a while. Otherwise - it seems to do what it's supposed to do and is cheap insurance against the problems that old or water-infiltrated gas can cause.
