Seymour Duncan LiveWire Dave Mustaine Pickup Set - (New)

A long time EMG81 player and endorser. But after years of playing 81's I wanted to try something different. After trying the Live wire, I am switching over.The EMG81 is The metal standard because of its consistent sound and, can make a cheap guitar Sound great. But it is also a very compressed and sterile pickup. The Live wire however, sounds amazing! And feels more "alive" like a hot passive. It's Full of presence and bite, with its own unique character and nuances. After playing live wire, then picking up one of my other guitars with EMG81s, It's a quite noticeable difference. And I prefer the sound and feel of the Live wires over the 81's.Go ahead, try them!

I took my time installing these only because i didnt want to over look something. But I suppose I did. The guitar i wanted to put these in has two volume, and one tone knob. The diagram that comes with it has two tone knobs, none of Dave's guitars have two tone knobs, that I've seen. So, I proceded to goto seymour duncans website and get the schematics for my version...and BOY WERE THEY WRONG.....I soldered every wire into place perfectly....even going as far as ensuring the 1/8" elbow bends in the capacitor that came with it.....All to that hairbrained schematic. It was beautiful when I was done. I checked and double checked with the ohmmeter to ensure I had proper connections everywhere, no shorts no opens. Everything was ready to be plugged up and rocked....NOT A SINGLE POP came from my amp.....I strugled to figure out what had happened then i noticed all of the inconsistencies that were between the printout that came with, and the one straight from the manufacturer.....tomorrow I will fix it and tomorrow i will rock, but for now i have a 800 dollar paper weight with two shiny spots on it that makes sounds like hellen keller. and PS THE DIAGRAM I USED FROM THE WEBSITE BURNED OUT BOTH PICKUPS!!!! USE THE DIAGRAM THAT COMES WITH THE KIT

These 2 guys (pickups) are a killer. I am amazed by it's sound and clarity amd they are like willing to be played. Very pleased with the product and definitely would recommend as well as the seller. Received the product even earlier, befor the estimated time so I got even happier.

Everything was shipped perfectly in the sealed case. The product I got was not the colour shown in the photo but it was the one I wanted anyway.

I got these and put them in may Dean VMNT and all I can say is that they are amazing. Great for any megadeth fans.
