Can i use it for the inside of my purse??

Yes, it is a light, therefore it will light up whatever it is being used to illuminate, whether that be the inside of a purse or a hospital room. When I was in the hospital the nurse would come in very early in the morning 1:00 to 2:00 am to check on my vitals. When she entered the room she would turn this light on which was clipped to her blouse to illuminate her way without having to turn on the overhead lights and wake me up. I liked it so much that I purchased two.
