If you have leather bags, electronics, shoes, etc.... And you want to keep them in good condition for longer use, then cilicant absorbing silicon gel is very useful. It's absorbancy rate is not excellent but it works nicely. You need to keep it in mind that, it works great if you don't open the box too much. For example, if you have a pair of shoes and you want to keep them longer, then you need to place them in a air tight box and put 2-4 cilicant gel pouches and close the box. In this way your shoe will remain safe from moisture. But if you often open the box then it will not work nicely. So use it wisely, it's a good product.

One might think the size of the silica beads would be similar to that of the ones you get in the shoe box. Even I thought that and I went ahead bought them. It was only after I got the product, I saw the actual size of the silica beads. It was just slightly bigger than a coin. The other thing which I was annoyed about was the packaging of the product. So there are a total of 40 silica packs, and it is packed in a way where if you need just one pack you need take all the ten out of the pack.As for the performance of the product, still need to wait and see. But I am guessing it should be alright.

Alas, I was able to use a silica gel pack which actually works for long term!!I have used as instructed by the seller to store my camera lens since last six months and there is no condensation.One should keep in mind that it doesn't work when you open and close storage container often.

Bit overpriced. But its ok as it serves purpose.
