Are these plunger cutters?

Yes, they are. They work very well. Really a great value for the price.

The listing says three cookie cutters, but four are shown. Which three do you get?

You get the 4 shown. The measurements shown are the approximate size of the box though. I measured them in my review, and if I recall correctly they range from just under 2 inches to about an inch and a half tip to tip.

can i use these with body paint?

They are rigid plastic cutters with a plunger to make the pattern press into the surface so I don't think they would work very well. But I don't think trying it would hurt the cutters if you washed them quickly. There are cheaper fondant cutter/plunger items out there you could experiment with.

Can these be used with clay?

I don’t work in clay, but I expect so if the clay is firm enough. They are just a cutter with an imprinter, and you control the amount of pressure for the imprint.
