Worked a charm in an old microwave that couldn't be replaced because it was a 'built in'. Came on time and I was able to get it back in working order so that my aunt could enjoy her hot apple fritters.

My microwave is broke again in less than 3mos from using this part as replacement. Bummer!!

Almost a 5-star - it just isn't quite as powerful.
I had to replace the magnetron on my over-the-stove microwave. This one got good reviews (it wasn't the cheapest), so I got it. Look, it's just a magnetron. Shape, size, connectors are the same as a thousand other magnetrons. And it works. Only drawback: For some reason my microwave (with the new magnetron) has somewhere between 10% and 15% less power (takes 10-15% longer to cook) than with the original magnetron.

Worked wonderfully in LG microwave. Installation is super easy. Took longer to remove the cover. With this being 10% of the cost of the microwave I cannot be happier.Update: lasted less than 2 years and died. In trash it went, and this time along with the microwave. Not going to chance another one.
