Superior ThreadsVanish-Lite Water Soluble Lightweight Thread for Quilting, 300 Yd. Spool

The thread was easy to thread a bobbin, stitched smoothly, and did become water soluable with dabs of water on the project where the thread was used. The small spool has plenty of thread left even after winding a bobbin with the thread. I would buy another spool or two of the Vanish thread.

This is great for practice quiltin. It would also work well for a basting stitch for a quilt sandwich. I use it to practice my quilting so I can save my practice sandwiches

Used this water solvable thread for a In The Hoop Design. It bastes and outlines the appliqué pieces. Very fine, worked beautifully in my machine.

I had read some of the reviews about the thread breaking, took a chance and ordered it anyway. Glad I did! It has worked amazing for me! I have a embroidery machine, and I have two bobbin cases, the reason is, I NEVER mess with my bobbin case tension. I have been sewing for over 50 years and messing with that tension always ends badly, (tears, swearing, throwing things) I have one for regular sewing and a second one for embroidery, for the finer bobbin thread. I figured that if there was a possible breakage issue, I was just going to use the regular bobbin case. It has worked amazing. Only problem is to remember to take the water soluble thread OUT when you are done. Be sure to mark your bobbins, so there is no confusion.

I used this to baste in on my old Singer machine and that went well but it didn’t dissolve completely - and after washing my finished dress several times, you can still see some threads. I’ll have to use a smaller seam allowance next time.

Don’t be fooled by picture. Or shocked when it arrives. Sure you get your 300 yards but it’s not the reel pictured which is much bigger
