Best pump protection!
This bag works as an external filter for the pump.So it prevents leaves and dirt going into pump filter.So it is a great added value for a low price to protect your pond pump.I am happy I did buy this.

Great bag filter for lake water irrigation
We got these to provide a secondary barrier when pulling lake water through a pump for irrigation. The bags are extremely well constructed with solid material.There is only a single stitch in the opening for the drawstring. Also, the drawstring lock is poor. If you pull on the bag it will open up removing the cinch. I would recommend clamping this down, then using the rope to tie off and hold the bag onto your pump hose.

Less frequent pump cleaning
So far two pond pumps have run four weeks without having to take the pumps out and clean them, normally that's been a weekly chore but not now. The cinch feature is perfect and works well.

Not sure why I never bought before...
I have been cleaning my pond pump by hand for years. Now that I have finally purchased these I will never go back. It is a no-brainer. The fit was great and the flow is now more consistent. The water stays cleaner when the pump is not clogged. Netting is made of good string.

Stays clean
Fit good but tight over pump. After a couple of months no build up to scrape off so pump is working with efficiency. Happy with purchase. First time purchase. Old time pond person.
