Great book , great artist and inspiring !

Davis is onreof a handful of cartoonists that have shaped the 20th centurey and beyond. A national treasure thjat draws REALLY funny stuff !!!

Much better than "The Art of Jack Davis" but still poor quality reproduction and a "cheap feel" to the book. It feels like a print-on-demand cheapo - thin cover stock, poor image quality. Buy his older books if you want quality.

This book is printed on low quality paper and as a result, the only illustrations that look decent are the line art pieces. Anything mixed media or watercolor looks like garbage and some illustrations are hard to even make out. It's a shame, really. The title should be "some of my good stuff, presented poorly."

Bought as a gift. He loved it. Inspiring.

I like Jim Davis. I was not disappointed with the book. It was a present.

...and it's certainly NOT Jack Davis; in my opinion, the best cartoonist there is when it comes to action, lighting, color, and sense of fun. The only thing he lacks is a good editor! If not with brains, with EYES at least!! Why -O why!- publish a book about him in black and white? First came the awful Fantagraphics anthology, printed in cheap paper and dirty muted colors. Now these two pamphlets ("The Art of Jack Davis" and this one) that look like binded photocopies from Mad Magazine. What's next? Toilet paper edition? We're talking about a Master of Masters here! Doesn't he deserve an retrospective worthy of his fabulous work? I MEAN, COME ON!!!

i think most of the book contents are, 'The Good Stuff", out of his waste paper basket! plus as of the last book bad reproduction. Not a great compliment to this amazing artist. It is about time us "fans" had a coffee table hard back book similar to the one's of other artist's contributing to MAD and other outlets. Where are his fantastic movie posters, L.P covers? avoid this book.
