I was disappointed when this was small, but I probably should have looked at the size first.
If you want a cassette player transformer, this is your only option that isn’t $100. I was looking for a Soundwave that transformed into a cassette player, as I only have siege, but I got this. Really should have looked at the size. Earthrise is just too expensive, and there’s no Kingdom release. So this was my best option, despite it being small. Still a great size to fool around with, but you might want to take the weapons away for a few years if you plan on giving this to a toddler.

If you collect legends class, this it he definitive soundwave
If you want to collect transformers, but either a) hate the rising cost of plastic, or b) don't have a lot space for display, then this is a great figure to start you off or add to your collection. POINTS OF REVIEW:AESTHETIC: This little guy is show accurate and definitely hits all the right notes with color and design. He includes his gun and little missile launcher (both removable and adjustable), adding to his play value. He even comes with a tiny cassette (which sadly doesn't transform) that is highly detailed, and can be stored in Soundwave chest! Wow! This Soundwave turns into his classic cassette player form, but he loses a point here for not exactly being a good looking cassette player :(. Its a bit weird looking.ARTICULATION: Transformers fans love articulation, and at this size, this one has got it. I think at least 13 points, which is more than the original had. Highly Posable and cool!PRICE: Its well known that in 2021, Hasbro raised the prices on all its products, but if you can get this at its MSRP of under 14 bucks, you're getting a steal.10/10 (just don't let your 5 year old play with your only copy, the pieces are easily losable, and the figure won't withstand heavy play)

Easy to pose, small little mistake with the paint but barley noticeable
He’s pretty small at only 3” so I took a pic of him next to a standard water bottle so you can get an idea. He’s easy to pose and holds his pose quite well. Decent detail and isn’t flimsyZ very easy to transformer into his alt mode!

Very cool
I mean it’s a little pricey for such a small figure, but i got it for my boyfriend he seemed very happy with it, maybe because of me but probably because it’s cool. Very nimble, my grimlock one is stiff so this one being easier to move was cool.

Oh the memories
I the package came opened and taped shut. Nothing missing, must be because this is an older toy that looks like it’s been sitting around for a while. Definitely not a grade 10 package. This is a very small toy. About the size of the other original model smallest transformer. The original Bumblebee bug comes to mind. The cassette does not transform. However, at this low price, you’re paying for nostalgia. I love it! Had the original as a child. Oh the memories!

Package was previously opened
Toy is great, however the package was previously opened and scotched taped closed. Kinda annoying since it is a present for a kid.

He's small & cool.
I just got this Soundwave in the mail yesterday & he's quite a nice little figure although his hip joints were pretty loose (easy to fix) I don't understand why some people have given him one star because he's small for the price they paid, it's not the figure's fault if the person buying it doesn't understand that core class transformers are small & shouldn't cost $25. They normally only cost $10 which is what I paid. He's kinda hard to find right now so some people are over charging for him but if you can find him for $10-$15 he's worth it. My only complaint is that I wish his little cassette transformed into Laserbeak.
