"A Quality Built Product For A Affordable Price"
I had been using a weighted desktop mic stand for quite some time, it worked well but was limited in overall flexibility. Since I do live Djing on my radio station, voiceovers and record my own music tracks. I needed a well built boom mic arm that could handle the weight of my SM7B (and other similar mics), with the flexibility of being able to put the mic exactly where you need it.I saw the video for the iXtech boom mic arm and thought I would give it a try. Let me say that I was very pleasantly surprised at how well this boom mic arm actually performs. Especially given other similar boom mic arms that are almost double in price. The steel construction and sleek design of this boom mic arm are points well worth mentioning. The product does not feel cheap or unstable and actually performs as advertised. The "cutaway" within the boom arm for the XLR cable to integrate adds a nice touch for appearance and functionality. And the steel constructed table base clamp does an excellent job in supporting the weight of the boom arm and mic itself. The 360 degree turning radius of the boom arm operates as smooth as silk. And the "joint tensioners" allow you to adjust exactly how much stiffness or flexibility you want within the boom arm. Assembly of the product was surprisingly very simple, and most importantly the boom arm works as advertised. My only complaint is that when the product arrived one end of the box had already been opened. I almost started to send it back, but after checking to see if all the contents were inside the box (which they were) I decided to keep it. Other than that this was a great purchase and I would highly recommend the product.

Adjustable and strong
Really happy with the boom arm, does well to hold my mic and I love that I can move it around in so many different ways to suit how I want it. Moving it around so much causes it to loosen a bit however, but it's an easy fix with just having to tighten it back up. The assembly was very easy, and I love the fact that it has clips to hold the wiring for the mic.

Great idea and concept, executed not as well...
I ordered this mic boom for my new gaming pc setup based on pictures and reviews. I know things are not always what they seem, and this will serve me well, but there are a couple of issues that could have been fixed in the design.First, the clamp that mounts to my desk seems to be a bit flimsy. It clamps and holds, but also the metal flexes and bends a bit putting the base for the pin on the bottom of the arm off angle. I had to bend it back to get it to sit flush and straight.Second, the base and pin that fits in it are free wheeling. There is no tension adjustment that I can find to keep it from just rotating freely. Now this isn’t the end of the world, just like the clamp issue, but if I bump my mic, it moves more than I like.I can live with both these issues, and you do get what you pay for. I could have spent double on a perfect boom, but I am somewhat cheap when it comes to accessories...lolOverall, it’s a solid design, looks great and can be used for what I want.

Amazing!!!
This mic arm is perfect! Not only does it have a wide variety of angles and lengths, but it is also very sturdy so that even the heaviest of mics can stay attached without pulling it down. Such a value for money for it's mobility and functionality

High Quality, Just Depends on Mic Weight
I am switching from the Fifine mic/mic stand to my Blue Yeti I've had for a while but never had a decent stand for. I wanted to invest a bit more in my stand, but also didn't want to spend a ton of money. This mic arm is absolutely amazing and the material feels nice and sturdy. The clamp is like a tank if you decide to use it and I'm so happy with it! It does not move a centimeter when I tried to physically jostle the clamp around compared to my Fifine one.The only thing which originally made me want to rate it 4 stars is that it HIGHLY depends on your mic's weight. The Shure SM7B I originally got it for was perfect for it, but my Blue Yeti was too light at the original tension that the arm flew back to a vertical line. After adjusting the tension of every part to the max I could turn it, my Blue Yeti is perfect with it which made me rate 5 stars.I would recommend anyone with a mic lighter than the Blue Yeti to be aware that your mic might not work with this beauty. It is definetly an issue when it comes to the ratings, but I assure you that if you buy this with a heavier mic this is godsend!

Broke in three months
I purchased this to replace (what I now know to be) a clearly superior Blue Microphone stand, and I regret it. The build is not as strong as the very similar Blue Microphone stand, and the main joint at the bottom of the stand would never tighten strong enough to hold up a Shure SM7B microphone when extended. I would untighten and retighten the joint to get through a full hour of a podcast, and recently when attempting to tighten it (almost three months to the day), I hear a piece inside the joint crack, and now it won't work at all.I have been attempting to work with support, and they have not been helpful so far - not really sure if there is a better mic stand out there beyond the Blue one, but this guy is profoundly disappointing. Add to it that support won't respond in a timely manner for a refund or replacement, and I can't recommend this stand to anyone.
