Such a great pour over set up!
I’m a convert because of this pour over cup! Gone are k-cups and coffee not tasting fresh. I’m saving money, drinking fresh-made, hot coffee and tea, and loving how easy this pour over ensemble is to use. Plus, it’s cute! And easy to bring anywhere.

Gets the job done.
I ordered this coffee brewer because of currently having limited kitchen space. And, of all the versions of this cup-top manual brewer, I liked the idea of the lid and water-measuring guide-cup (though they are totally unnecessary). This manual brewer is easy to use and to clean up after.I have been using the water-guide most of the time, as it directs the water causing the grinds to stay in a smaller area of the filter, slowing down the waterflow and making a stronger brew. This style of brewing may require use of more grinds per cup, or switching to a stronger coffee, to get the perfect coffee strength to your taste - because it brews so quickly. Also, if you can brew your coffee into an insulated mug, it'll keep your coffee hot, longer.FYI - the lid does not fit snuggly onto the brewer; it nestles onto the water-measuring cup perfectly but only sits atop the brewer cup.

It works perfectly
this is what I have been looking for. the issue with pour overs is getting a consistent pour of the water over the grounds. this takes the the guess work and tedium out of pouring the water over the grounds. If you know, you know..... this releases the water onto the grounds in a consistent rate (though I suspect it might be a little faster at the beginning due to the water pressure from the full reservoir). that said, I have timed 16oz going through in about 2 minutes and 45 seconds. I'm very happy with that. some have commented about the manufacturing quality and the holes not being drilled out correctly. I believe they are designed that way, and they work perfectly. There are 8 holes in the bottom of the reservoir that drip the hot water onto the grounds. 3 of them are larger than the others BUT are spaced around in a circle with 5 other smaller holes in between them. this I believe was done on purpose to allow water to be spread more evenly over the grounds but still keep the overall flow rate slow enough for a good pour over. By weighing the grounds (I do 17 grams of a light/medium roast) I've found I can get a very consistent and good cup of coffee every time. no more harsh or bitter coffee because the water temp was off because I poured too slow or too fast. Often I get caught up doing something else and forget to complete the pour-over and then the water temp is off, etc, etc.you could easily bore out the other holes but, in my mind, you will ruin it. the water will flow out too rapidly for a good pour over. Also, I have not encountered any issues with the water overflowing the coffee filter holder. if you make the holes larger on reservoir you may cause overflowing because the flow rate out the bottom of the filter will not keep up with the inflow of water from the reservoir.tip. the reservoir only holds 12 ounces but if you go to the absolute brim you can get about 14 ounces and if you pour slowly at the end you can easily do 16 ounces because as the water goes down you can add more. I do it every morning and it's totally doable.this is perfect, it helps me remove several variables from the brewing process and allows me to concentrate on ground quantity, grind, roast level, and bean type...

Morning coffee is so much easier
Morning coffee could not be any easier now since I purchased the OXO single serve pour over. After having already owned and broken two glass carafes, I decided to avoid glass on the third go around. I was tempted to purchase a pour over/safe for stove top use glass carafe but decided that I had enough with worrying about breaking the glass carafe. No more worries about it tipping over in the sink, on the counter, dropping it, chipping, the list goes on and on for anything made of glass. And the worse part when the glass breaks, its not the broken glass it the no coffee tomorrow morning part of it.As for the ease of use, just set it on top of your mug (my cup is a 20 oz) and pour the hot water into the reservoir. I wait about 30 seconds (since I use more water than the reservoir will accommodate) and then pour the rest of my hot water in, place the lid on top and come back in about 5 minutes for my hot cup of coffee. I don't know why I waited a few months before writing this review because within the first week the OXO single serve pour over was a game changer. No worries about breaking anything, Pour your hot water into the reservoir, no need to wait and continually pour the hot water over the coffee grinds like other products. This allows me to do other things while the coffee is "brewing". Once the well is empty, place the lid on the table top side down and you can sit the pour over right on top of it.Others have complained about the holes in the water reservoir being uneven and blaming poor manufacturing. From what I can tell this is by design, 6 holes all evenly spaced apart, every other hole drips faster than the one next to it. Sometimes this will create an indentation in the grinds as the water drips down. So for those first 30 seconds that I wait, I sometimes rotate the water reservoir slightly to even out the dripping. I say sometimes because that's only if I remember to do so.Clean up is easy, remove the paper filter, quick wash and done. Never have to worry about breaking the glass carafe. With the OXO Brew Single Serve Pour-Over Coffee Maker there will be coffee tomorrow morning.

Almost perfect
Makes a great cuppa joe! Drip seems to be a good pace for a quick yet decently strong coffee. Love the convenience (so does my hubby - not a big fan of making a pot of perked coffee!)My only complaint would be to offer a slightly larger pour-over? Like many others, I drink from a 16 oz "cup" every morning.I'd say this is comparable to our French press (my fave way to make coffee until now) Good flavor, quick, convenient (would be great for travel!), easy clean up, doesn't take up much space. I'd definitely recommend!
