Good quality, saves lots of time and works well. No more having to shave off the thick waterproof protective covering on top of the +/- contact points with an X-Acto knife before applying power or connecting LED strips. It's so simple. Just partially peel back the nonstick paper on the bottom of the LED strip directly below the +/- contact points. Pop open the waterproof connector lid; set the LED strip on top of the metal connector pins inside; close the lid, and the pins will pierce the LED strip from underneath (below). Just make sure to line up the +/- contact points with the metal pins before closing the lid which pierces the strip. Not usually one to review products but having used several different connectors over the past couple years and watching several videos I know good from bad. I by chance bought these because I was out of the previous ones I had ordered. Are such a pain as you had to strip alliance exactly in the right spot. As soon as you went to move or mount them they consistent came loose and disconnected. This is a simple design that works much better and holds to the strip as you move it around. As I mounted these in my boat it was hard to get the old ones to stay in place and they constantly failed. Don't by any other connectors use these!

It does its job, but some of the pins were loose in the connector. Had to use a little glue to hold them in. Probably won’t order again unless in a pinch

These connectors are great. They are so easy to use. There is no need to pull back the silicone off of the LED strip. These connectors have prongs that pierce through the insulation and make contact with the solder points. All you have to do is open the clip on the connector, lay the LED strip on the prongs and close the clip with some force until it latches in place. Just make sure that the connections match as you lay the strip into the connector.I really like the fact that these keep the connections waterproof. I would definitely buy and use these again. So much easier then soldering jumpers in place.

I tried this and it was a miserable experience. You will have to cut away the silicon tube as the tube will not fit into the connector. Once that's done and the copper spots are exposed, I found that although these say they work with 10mm and the strips on 5050 IP67 (with the silicon "tube") are 10mm, the strips are still too wide to fit into these connectors. You will have to curl the sides of the strip to get them to fit, which then causes the copper contacts on the strip to curl away from the pins inside the connector making for an unreliable and very unforgiving connection. I had to hot glue the connector to the strip to keep it in place and even then it was sketchy and could lose connection on 1 or more pins if the connection flexed. Bottom line: find a different product. There doesn't seem to be one on Amazon, but a google search turned up something at ledsupply that is designed specifically for the IP67 package.

I bought these to replace another set I bought. I have the waterproof 5050s and these connectors do not require you to peel the silicon off the strip (not as easy as you may think it is). I thought maybe the connectors were the issue with my set of lights but unfortunately it was not. These connectors are not the problem but I was hoping the other crappy ones I bought were. These are much easier to use. The other ones require peeling the silicon off and pushing the strip under some metal connectors. As soon as you push it in once you are not getting to work again. Strip bends and it's impossible to push back under. The other connector clasps didn't stay shut as well as these do. You still have to use some muscle to close but these seem much better. Trust me, stay away from the Zitrades. They are extremely unreliable.

Used this connector for my 5 year old rgb 5050 waterproof hitlight LEDs . I have two strips running parallel on a homemade fixture for my aquarium lighting . Its a tight return so I needed to cut my strips and add a flexible connector. These worked as described easy cut where marked on the LED and line up the copper tabs with the prongs in the connector and snap down . Fits snug with my silicone covered 10mm waterproof leds.
