The Clarke/Duke Project Volumes 1, 2, 3

It's hard to believe I'm the 1st to review this. You can hunt the 3 albums on this collection down individually or you can pay the price of one CD and have all 3 on 2 discs. The first disc contains parts I and II since these were relatively short, having been released when LP's still ruled. The second disc contains all of part III. This set contains a nice collaberation between two masters. The jazz is funky but not the way some of Duke's solo efforts were. You won't find yourself in the shadow of George Clinton's Mothership here; but it is lively and rhythmic and quite enjoyable. Nice music for cruising or a party.

Everyone should have this CD; IF INTO JAZZ.TWO GREAT MUSICIANS

The music is great ! I'm a fan of the CLARKE/DUKE PROJECTS ! My only complaint is that the case arrived in parts. It doesn't affect the music & I can glue the case. I am still looking for Stanley Clarke & the cut CAMPO AMERICANO.
