Plug and play
These guys that make this are the best , just like they say plug n play took me about 45 min , and it works like a charm just wish the range from the key fob worked farther away

Uses factory key fob 🤗
Great value. Install was easy to follow and took me about 2 hours to complete. Wire splicing only one factory harness wire (I used the solder type heat shrink connectors). There's a great install video on YouTube too. Been using the remote start for about a month now with no issues. The system uses your factory key fob so you don't need a second fob. If Start-X made a kit for my Subaru I would get that too.

Good product, optional splicing🤢
Works good, I only complaint is I wish one of the t harness you have to splice just had a proper pass through connector instead. Can't use key fob once the car is removed started without splicing those wires and I don't want to cut up my harnesses

Start-X Remote Starter 2018 Toyota Corolla
I received this remote starter kit today. I installed it in about 1 1/2 hours in the dark, at a slow pace. Installation, along with the video instructions went perfectly. Very simple to install. The video is exact in how it’s done. Programming was done step by step in the included instruction sheet. If you follow that sequence, you won’t have any issues. I like that it’ll work with the original key fob. Three presses on the lock button, the signals will flash and the vehicle starts in a couple seconds. The doors will be locked with the engine running and your key in your hands. If you press unlock, the doors will unlock and you can put the key into the ignition. Turn the key to Accessory and drive off. You can also press the brake with the key out of the ignition and the engine will shut off, allowing you to use the key to normally crank the engine to start it. For the money, if this kit works for several years, it’s an awesome upgrade to install. Warm car, defrosted windshield in the winter, cool car in the summer. If you’re on the fence, I’d recommend it.

2016 CORROLA WITH "H" KEY
I do not recommend this kit if you are using the standard H-key remote. The remote only functions up to about 50 feet, which completely defeats the purpose of having a remote start. This limitation is not clearly disclosed prior to purchase. As a result, I ended up buying a product that does not meet basic expectations. To make it functional, I would now have to spend several hundred dollars more on an upgraded remote. Overall, this was a waste of time and money, and I would not have purchased it had this information been clearly stated upfront.

Wasn’t as bad as I thought to install but works well so far….
I have a 2019 Toyota Corolla LE. I was looking for an auto start that used the factory keyfob and was pretty easy to install. I came across the Start-X on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I followed the video that is in the description and it was spot on. The only two rough parts were getting to the BCM connector (tight area) and the second connector for the TPMS module (was hard to get out). Splicing in was a bit of a pain too as my wire strippers were too big to get a bite so I had to use snips ever so gently to strip the insulation. Be careful to pick the correct wire as they do mesh together. I separated it using the spudger tool in the picture. After that I followed the instructions in the manual to program and it worked flawlessly. I would say to go over the programming instructions a few times prior as there a few steps that I mixed up (read it too fast). I’ll see how this does through the winter warming up the car and if any issues pop up. Hoping to add the cellular module at some point as I sometimes park out of range of the remote when I am at work. Hope this helps!

2014 Corolla Sport (with traditional key/fob) - Followed the video and it worked fine
Just finished the install, took about an hour outside in my driveway. Watching the video and doing everything exactly as instructed worked fine, tho I had trouble reaching in and working thru the access panel on the side to get the BCM plug out so figured out how to pop off the access panel directly in front of it and to the left of the steering wheel (be aware that there is just one screw holding it on hidden behind one of the 2 square unused switch covers) and that made all the difference in the world. Working with the cut wire for the TPMS adapter was really the only "technical" part of the job and really only a challenge as the BCM's cut wire is very very small. I will note (if it even matters) that the supplied double white wire that you cut off the TPMS adapter has a blue stripe on one wire. Splicing that striped wire onto the BCM wire, I attached THAT wire to the end of the cut wire coming out of the Corolla's BCM plug and spliced the SOLID white wire to the other cut end coming out of the Corolla's wire loom. Hope that makes sense? Also, the cavity behind the left access panel is a perfect spot to locate the module and route all the cables to and still has room to work with. At any rate, will be testing/evaluating and will update this again if anything changes. Engine STAYS RUNNING when you open the door and TURNS OFF once you press the brake pedal. The only way to interrupt this is to open the door, insert the key and turn it forward to the "ON" position, THEN press the brake and the engine stays running and goes to normal state where you can then drive the car (this is how I wish they all were since our newer vehicles shut off the second you open the door with no option to program it to stay running, which is irritating and I feel just adds more wear and tear to their starters than is really necessary).

Simple installing and working fine on my car.. I installed it on corolla 2018. Just skipped the TMS wire. Then everything working fine; cost saving

Works good and was easy to install. Had Canadian model so didn't need to mess with the TPMS wires. Instructions are very poor, they don't even tell you where you can mount the module. Recommend searching a youtube video before installing.
