Update 12/3/17: I emailed the manufacturer and wrote to them on Amazon, and received no reply. They obviously don't offer/honor warranty their products. Fortunately, I'm fairly handy with metal and cut a 1/8" metal plate to reinforce the swivel at the bottom of the post.Update 11/4/17: So I took down the TV before any wind from the hurricane. Noticed that the bottom of the mount is bent from the weight of the TV. My TV is 46in and weighs 86lbs. The mount says it's rated for 100lbs. It's on my covered porch and gets almost 0 wind. Going to figure out a way to fix it and will post pics. It's the swivel that allows it to rotate left right is pulling out of the metal plate. Afraid to swivel the tv until it's fixed.6/15/17:This thing is pretty nice. I gave four stars originally because the strips of metal that attach to the tv are weak compared to the square tube that goes from ceiling down to tv.Pros: Inside the square tube is plenty of room for power cord and AV cables. I have hung quite a few TVs and monitors on different wall/ceiling mounts and I have to say that I really like the design of this one. If you have ever done this before you know that it is really annoying trying to hold a TV and bolt it to the mount at the same time. This design you just slip over an eyelet (like the kind that slips over a screw head just bigger). Then 2 bolts allow you to adjust the tilt angle and tighten to keep it from coming off the eyelet if bumped. Wish all TV mounts were like that. All the adjustments on this mount make it really functional. Only thing that would make it better would be a motor for tilt, pan, and pitch but then it would cost double.Cons. Weak strips of metal for attaching to TV. Luckily I had another mount that I combined with this one to make an extremely solid mount. If your handy with metal then you could pick up some heavier gauge strips and make your own.Install: I was going to be mounting to a 2x4 and specifically ordered this mount for the 2 holes in a straight line for wood mounting. The trusses are installed 4in side is vertical and 2in side horizontal so There was only 2in thick to mount to. Oddly enough, I ended up buying two 5"x2" U bolts that fit perfectly into the 4 holes for concrete mounting. I was able to cut a slit (3"x1/3") in the ceiling along the 2x4 and attach the U bolt to a skinny rod with tape, push it up over the 2x4 and turn, then pull it back down over the 2x4. Now I can remove the TV as many times as I want without damaging the 2x4 structurally (Every time you take a bolt out of wood - unless you go all the way through - you should replace with a slightly thicker screw next time. You can only do that so many times before you run out of wood.) I filled it in with caulk (outdoor TV otherwise drywall putty is fine) and plastic cover provided with the TV mount covers it anyways. 8' ceiling, puts center of TV Right at 5'. Don't know the lower adjustment, didn't need it. Info I couldn't find. Damn near perfect. If it was just 6" shorter. But this is more than good enough!!. Strong, easy to assemble (unless you're a Doctor, lawyer or engineer. Doctors/mechanically incline? Oxymoron! Lawyers will get started on it but have someone else do the work and engineers will never get it done because they are too busy criticizing the design because "they can do it better". :D Come smile, that was funny!)

I bought this tv mount in 2017 and had Amazon install it. I loved it then and still do. It swivels and lifts up and down. I would most definitely purchase again if need be and recommend it to family/friends. I did read the reviews and am sorry for the ones that had a bad experience but I didn't have that experience.

I generally like this product as it is well made with quality parts that seem as though they will last a long time which was critical because I am mounting this on an outside patio cover ceiling.The only thing I found difficult was fishing the wires and cables through the inside of the hang post. The post is made of two separate pieces connected to each other and where they meet forms a ledge which makes it difficult to push a wire through. I didn't have a fish tape but would recommend you get one to make this a bit easier.

Very happy with our purchase. Easy to install and it has many adjustment options. Very well made. I only had to buy the appropriate lag bolts to mount it to the ceiling.

Arrived on time and looked exactly like advertised but its cheaply packaged and package was damaged and missing all tv mounting brackets so it's basically useless I would have given it 5 stars if it came complete

Very impressed with this product overall. Lightning quick shipping. Easy to follow instructions. Great labeling of parts. Easy to install and very solid. Could not have designed it any better.
