Fantastic value for the $$. Works flawlessly and easy setup.
I have come to not expect much from cheap Amazon electronics, but this was a DEAL. It works flawlessly and I can switch between my four computers easily. I saw in the reviews that some people had a lag, but I think that is their equipment because mine switches fast. The remote allows you to hide the cables and just bring out the switch. Sure, it would be better if the remote was wireless, but it is not a big deal to me. You couldn't find a better deal for the $$. The only negative I have is that the cables could be a little longer, but this was an all time best buy for me.

WOW I am glad I finally upgraded from my old VGA KVM to this
I had been using my TrippLite VGA KVM for years and putting up with a pretty terrible picture for such a long time. Finally after realizing nearly all my regularly used machines had HDMI natively, I ditched all the VGA cables and dongles and this little generic (model HK401, no brand name at all) arrived today. The improvement in video quality when using this KVM was IMMEDIATE. I'm so pleased with this thing and it was very reasonably priced (under $60). It's so small I couldnt even believe it was a 4 device KVM, but here it is driving 3 PCs of mine, 2 Macs, one Linux and one I use for when my laptop is upstairs, and it works amazingly, no issues. Audio passes through to my monitor for the active device, meaning no more need for an external pair of speakers. So much less clutter on the desk now.Pros:- it's tiny! You can see in the first picture how it compares in size to my old TrippLite KVM.- No external power supply needed. Another win for this device that I didn't even realize I wanted. Grabs power from the device(s) you are controlling, and has no problem powering my keyboard with backlight and optical mouse.- Less expensive than other HDMI KVMs I've looked at and much less than my old VGA one.- Provides an incredible picture at least compared to my previous VGA KVM.- Love the controller cables, obviously they are some proprietary format with HDMI on one end but on the other is both HDMI and a USB port. Cables feel sturdy but flexible and I like the greenish/cyan color.Cons (not many, but a few)- When pushing the button to switch inputs on the unit it sounds a little hollow. A very minor nitpick.- I'd probably prefer it to be a little bigger actually, if it means all the cables could be on one side (i.e. the back). As it is, the HDMI ports are one of the long sides of the unit, and the USB inputs are on the other. I ended up just placing it on my desk sideways until I tidy it up the cables more (second picture). Or maybe I'll leave it as is.- Finally, I do wish it came with an HDMI-HDMI cable to connect up to the monitor. Presumably they assume you're already using at least one HDMI device, I'm probably a pretty odd case in that I was not.Overall though I'm very happy with this purchase, whatever company made it should stamp their name all over it because they made one great product!

Overall a good solution
Having owned this now for several months I can say that, overall, this KVM switch is an excellent value. Not to say it is perfect but, for the price, the minor issues I've encountered are do not adversely affect the value. The three (minor) issues I've run into are:1. When switching to my laptop with the lid closed, the laptop doesn't seem to detect a video signal so never switches to the monitor. I have to raise the lid, switch to the laptop, watch to see the LED backlight flicker indicating it's detected the monitor, then close the lid. After that it works fine until the laptop is powered off.2. Three computers are connected to the KVM switch. Two work perfectly (Core i7 Lenovo laptop and Ryzen 5, 5xxx mini PC) but one (Ryzen 7, 3xxxx mini PC) doesn't seem to register "mouse up" events correctly. For instance, to click a button I have to click it, then move the mouse a pixel or two for Windows to register the "click". Visually, buttons on the screen shows "down" so "mouse down" seems to register properly. If I plug the mouse directly into the PC, it doesn't have this issue. I can switch to another PC, then use RDP to connect and the mouse clicks work fine. Since this PC is only used occasionally I often just connect the mouse directly when it's being used and leave the monitor and keyboard shared then move the mouse back to the KVM switch when switching to another PC.3. This may be a monitor issue, or a mix of monitor and KVM switch but if the computer signals the monitor to go into power save mode after an hour or so, the monitor loses the signal coming from the KVM switch and never picks it up again even when the PC starts sending signal again (keyboard pressed or mouse moved). Even switching to another PC with an always on monitor output doesn't bring back the display. They only way to get it working again is to turn the monitor off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.

One of the 4 HDMI cables did not work
The product works great, however one out of 4 of the HDMI cables, does not work. Would like to replace just the HDMI cable. No easy way to contact the seller with Amazon.

Reliability and dependability makes for loyal customers
I've been using this same device and model for years. Replacing it after almost 5 years of constant daily use.Everything works as expected with the new one.I imagine I'll buy this again if needed.Excellent

Work as expected
Works great, both from the device and the (wired) remote. I don't like that I have to use supplied HDMIs, but it's the sacrifice for USB.

Good Product while it lasted.
I purchased this KVM in January. All seem to work fine for a while. The "remote control" worked but stopped being able to change ports after 2 months. Not a big loss.Video was OK, although had a little difficulty when changing ports though. The most problematic area was the keyboard and mouse and it was recommended by Amazon to work with my Logitech devices. After a month it keeps loosing connections so had to switch to wired keyboard and mouse. Finally about two weeks ago, video went out for ports 3 and 4, so it is not usable for my home lab.The KVM was inexpensive, and it shows.
