Dr. Martens, Jadon 8-Eye Leather Platform Boot for Men and Women

I wanted to write this review for people who may still have doubts, sizing issues, and in general just issues as to what is best for them. I was concerned when I bought this shoe because of sizing, as some said to size down, while others stayed their size or even went up a size. I have quite smaller and skinnier feet. I am a women's size 6(US) and I decided for these that i would buy my size.When I got the shoes I noticed that they were my size length wise but in the toe area I get space up and down so I can comfortably move them around. Concerning the fitting of the boot, they weren't tight but still stayed well fit on my foot. At first I thought that maybe its because they were too big for me by about half a size, but I've realized that I actually quite like the feel of the boots not being tight fitting, as it allows you to comfortably wear the shoe from the start without having issues breaking them in. It also allows you to be able to wear thicker socks without the shoe becoming too tight on your foot.So my advice for sizing is to go down ½ or 1 a size then what you normally wear if you have skinnier feet and you want boots that are more tight and fitted. But if you enjoy shoes that you could wear thicker socks with or have more room in for comfort, stick to your size. Also if you have wider feet it is probably best to stick with your size or maybe go down by ½ as the shoes could mold to your feet if they are tight.Regarding the shoe itself, these shoes are great! I did notice though that the shoes seems bigger and chunkier in person than I initially thought they would, but the more I have worn and looked at them, the more obsessed I have become with how they look. I've also gotten more used to them, so they don't look at big as when I first saw them.I definitely recommend these boots to anyone who wishes to buy them, as I am a first time buyer from doc martens, I can confirm they are very nicely made boots with good comfort and looks!

Let me preface this by saying how mad I am at myself for waiting this long to write a review for these boots. They're absolutely fantastic. I bought my first pair from this company back in 2015 and have worn them practically everyday since. I loved them so much that I bought the burgundy pair as well. As with all Dr Marten boots, there's a steep "break in" curve of comfort. And honestly, I really didn't notice how well they ended up form-fitting to my feet until I had to start breaking the burgundy pair in. The pain and inevitable calluses are worth it!Sizing is pretty standard of all docs - I'm normally anywhere from a size US 7 1/2 - 8 1/2, bought the UK 6, and have room to spare for thick fuzzy socks in the winter. I have plenty of other styles of Dr. Martens - but the platforms are the reason I got these in particular. (every millimeter counts when you're only 5'2) I've read a few comments and questions about the weight of the boots - they ARE heavier than "normal", as I've had plenty of people remark after trying them on - but give it a few days and you won't even notice the weight. If anything, "normal" shoes will feel too light after wearing these full time.Now for my sad sob story (aka the reason I'm writing this review) - just this past weekend the zipper broke on my black pair. Which really is a testament to how well these boots are made. I know that sounds strange but I got some HEAVY use out of these bad boys. I'm talking hiking, climbing up a mountain (yes, a mountain. In these platform docs. I don't recommend doing this. Buy hiking boots, please learn from my mistakes), commuting several miles on a bike everyday. The zipper lasted two years of me violently beating them up.The rest of the boot is in perfectly good working order so I plan on getting the zipper fixed to save as a backup pair. I decided to buy a new pair because cosmetically - well, they've been through a lot. I've had chemicals spilled on them in class (you're told to not wear open toed shoes in chem lab for a reason), and they're scuffed to hell and back... but honestly don't docs look best when they're a little grungy?The only complaint I have is that the tongue of the left boot is maligned - it twists to the left slightly. This happened with both of my original pairs (I included a pic), but not the newest one that I just bought. But it really isn't that big of a deal, it's only cosmetic. I also wish they offered them in something other than the smooth leather finish, but that's something to take up arms against Dr. Martens for, not the Amazon review board.I totally recommend getting them if you're on the fence! They are worth the investment. Even if you decide to hike up mountains in them (please don't).

I am soooooo sad with this purchase I love doc martens and have been eyeing these for so long I decided to splurge back in October and get myself a pair. I have three other pairs that I have worn constantly over the years that are still in really good condition, I wear them to work, to punk shows. Everywhere I go they go with no problem so tell me whyyyyyy these are already falling apart the thick sole looks like it was glued together, they're literally detaching from eachother?!?!? And I know its pretty small where theyre detaching but its literally growing soooo fast its like stretching and i think theyre gonna fall apart soon :( I dont know what to do but im pretty sure these arent authentic :(

Okay first of all I'm usually a sz 6.5 from reading reviews these boots tend to run large so went for sz 6. First day wearing felt like a big mistake! I ended up tearing Achilles area and blistered pinky toe. Sooooo after doing research, you must break them in before wearing around. What I did was wear double, thick crew socks, lifted weights and worked out on a stairmaster for 2 weeks straight...now they are absolutely comfortable! Boots aren't causing blisters or tears feels like the perfect fit.

Really great boots to wear in the fall/winter time. The inner “rebel goth teenager” in me screams with joy. Walking in the snow is a breeze, and my feet never get cold or wet. My other pair of Docs are the 1460 Women’s Boot in Sun Yellow (ankle boot) and the 20 eyelet BRITAIN Boot in Polished Black (knee high) So go buy a pair, because the cost of Docs nowadays keeps increasing :/

The media could not be loaded.  Fake! Als die Schuhe ankamen, kamen sie mir komisch vor. Sie waren nicht besonders bequem und haben ein komisches Gummi Geräusch von sich gegeben. Sowas hatte ich bei Dr. Martens noch nie. Deswegen ging ich mit den Schuhen in einen Dr. Martens Laden und mir wurde bestätigt, dass die Schuhe ein Fake sind.1. Gummigeräusch2. Starkes glitzern des Fakegummileders (Dr. Martens auch neu sind matt)3. Schnürsenkel nicht vom Dr. Martens trend4. Eine schlechtere Qualität der Sohle5. Generell ein Gefühl vom Plastik und keine LederIm Video links ist der Fake Schuh, besonders an dem Gummigeräusch zu erkennen. Der rechte Schuh ist echt und aus dem Dr. Martens Shop.

Versand/Lieferumfang:Die Dr. Martens Unisex-Erwachsene 1460 Quad Retro Jadon Brogue Schnürhalbschuhe, Schwarz, 37 EU kamen sicher verpackt und heil bei mir an.Optik/Qualität/Passform:Die Dr. Martens sind momentan wieder voll im Trend und das zurecht. Der Schuh sieht einfach super aus und passt wirklich zu jedem Outfit; ob schickes Kleid, enge Jeans, Oversize Pullover etc., der Schuh wertet jedes Outfit auf.Ich hab ihn jetzt schon so oft an anderen Füßen gesehen und fand ihn so toll, dass ich ihn unbedingt haben wollte.Da er überall ausverkauft war, war ich sehr froh ihn bei Amazon und dann noch den Original Schuh zu einem günstigeren Preis als UVP zu bekommen.Er besteht aus Leder und ist absolut sauber verarbeitet.Durch den Absatz gewinnt man an ca. 5 cm Größe dazu, was die Beine länger wirken lässt.Am Anfang ist er sehr hart und starrig, hier braucht es viel Einlaufen.Gemäß des Sprichwortes „wer schön sein will, muss leiden“ muss man hier leider einige Blasen und Schmerzen in Kauf nehmen, bevor man wirklich bequem in den Schuhen läuft.Aber es lohnt sich. Nach dem Einlaufen hat man einen schönen und bequemen Schuh, den man zu allem Anziehen kann.Die Passform ist eig genau, ich trage 37 und mir passt bei den Doc Martens ebenfalls die 37 gut. Größer würde ich sie nicht unbedingt kaufen, da sie sich ja noch durch das Einlaufen weiten.Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis:Der Preis ist natürlich nicht günstig, aber für Lederschuhe und gemessen am aktuellen Trend der Marke nachvollziehbar und im Rahmen.Fazit:Wirklich toller Schuh, der Einlaufen benötigt. Ich bin trotzdem absolut begeistert von ihm und möchte ihn nicht mehr missen. Sono perfette , nulla da contestare . Venditore ottimo , mi sono arrivate due giorni prima del previsto. Sono innamorataaaaa!

Le scarpe appena arrivate erano perfette. Dopo neanche 2 mesi si sono iniziate a disintegrare, usandole appena 2 volte a settimana poiché è estate. La suola si sta staccando e la pelle, palesemente finta a questo punto, si è bucata per usura dopo due mesi, DUE MESI. Le dr. Martens originali durerebbero almeno 4/5 anni. VE LE SCONSIGLIO ASSOLUTAMENTE. ho chiesto il rimborso o reso e ovviamente avendo superato i 30 giorni non me lo hanno concesso, ma sono arrabbiata per aver buttato 200 euro a caso.

NIE WIEDER!! Dieser Verkäufer ist weniger als kompetent. Ich habe die Dr. Martens gerade ein Jahr getragen, da sind sie auseinander gegangen!!Löcher in den Gehfalten, Schnürsenkel zerissen, Reißverschluss gebrochen (beide!!) und dazu hat sich noch die Schuhsohle aufgelöst.Ich habe mehrmals versucht eine Reklamation durchzuführen - vergebens!"Die Schuhe seien nicht angemessen getragen worden" heißt es..Was mich als langjährige Dr. Martens-Trägerin wirklich stutzig macht, auch in Hinsicht auf die Echtheit der Schuhe..Amazon konnte auch nichts tun.. Ich bin wirklich verärgert, aber das scheint niemanden zu interessieren!Ab jetzt kaufe ich nur noch bei der Marke direkt!!
