The 1945 Sears Christmas Book

This is a fun catalog/book for the whole family. An eye opening look at what was available in 1945, and the prices! I love to find the original catalogs, but this reprint is super…no weird smells or stains in this new-old catalog! Thanks this was a great purchase.

ordered this as a gift so we could have a good time 'traveling back to yesteryear'. Interesting that many of the offerings would simply never be available today - oh my how times change! I remember being given the catalog at Christmas and asked to choose a few possibilities - what I might like for a Christmas gift (the pony was on the list but never materialized!!)

This is a mini version of what the Sears book looked like back in its day. Chock full of merchandise. A lot of fun seeing the items and what they cost back then. Everything was so cheap, but then if you go to compare those prices with what something woud cost at todays prices , the cost are comparable. Still I would love to go back in time and buy from that catalog. I recommend this book 1000 percent! Fun item to have and to give to friends and family at Chiristmas or anytime.

When I friend of mine said she had an old Sear's Christmas Wish Book she displayed at Christmas, I envied her genius. I was so happy to find this catalog to send to my sister-in-law (from her birth year). It was passed around, for many generations to enjoy, looking back in time. Some good chuckles also.

This is so fun to look at! I wish they would make reproductions of catalogs from the 60's and 70's as well. Actual catalogs can be found, but quality isn't great (to be expected because of the age) and often smell smoky or musty. Enjoying this so much!

I remember how exciting it was to receive the Sears Christmas catalog in the mail. I would spend hours looking at the dolls and other toys. It was such fun to look through this facsimile of the real Sears Christmas catalog. Brought back lots of memories!

A delightful trip down Memory Lane to the first post-war holiday in 1945. The items are amazing and the prices so low. Sears helped the country celebrate with this enticing array of gifts.

I love going through the pages and seeing the styles, the toys, etc- it really gives the feel of the era - the introduction was helpful to set the scene. The first Christmas after WW2
